Netflix Series You Shouldn’t Miss This February 2022

Netflix’s collection of movies, series, and anime continues to grow as the winter chill sets in. Despite February’s shorter period, Netflix has a large number of new releases. In addition, this month promises to be exceptionally rich in original programming. Below is a small selection of content that will appear on the platform in the following weeks.

The Privilege (February 9)

There were several German productions in 2017 that were innovative or tried new ideas thanks to the Dark series. This film, like others on the platform, intended to create a lasting impression on those who enjoy terrifying and harrowing stories. Max Schimmelpfennig and Lea van Acken, two of the stars of Dark, appear in the new series. It swaps science fiction for psychological and unnerving horror.

Finn has just turned 18 and weird happenings are taking place in his circle of friends. Despite the fact that Finn has dreams about his sister Anna, who tragically died in an accident years ago, many believe that these are just the psychological effects of his sister’s death. He and his closest buddy decide to research the horrific secret that his background hides and what his family is attempting to keep from him, in order to uncover the truth.

We are reminded that evil lurks everywhere, even in the places we least expect it! Thanks to the film’s marketing campaign for an unusual medication and supernatural manifestations reminiscent of Cordyceps from The Last of Us.

Bigbug (February 11)

In recent months, the platform’s subscribers have observed to be more interested in French vintage film to both extend its collection and also draw an audience ready for fresh discoveries.  In addition, Netflix isn’t afraid to pay homage to some of France’s finest directors, such as Jean-Pierre Jeunet. After seeing him in action in the fourth episode of the Alien installment (Alien Resurrection), Netflix decided to host BigBug.  Jeunet’s latest creation seems less to investigate the relationship between technology and humans.

Despite the widespread usage of artificial intelligence in 2045, Yonyx androids pose a threat. Many people huddled in their own homes are shocked when their domestic robots, who serve to satisfy all of their fantasies and other essential demands, hold them captive. This creates a unique environment that quickly develops into all kinds of unexpected circumstances.

Space Force: Season 2 (February 18)

If you’ve seen all nine seasons of The Office and are missing the show’s creators, the release of Space Force’s second season should bring a smile to your face. The character of General Mark Naird, played by actor Steve Carell, was thrown into the United States Space Force by President Donald Trump, who wanted him to lead a new branch of the military.

It’s clear that we’re more on the side of an unusual workplace where employees are made fun of than a well-staged headquarters in any production directed by Greg Daniels (The Office, Parks & Recreation).

What’s more, the show has returned for a second run in the hopes of figuring out just the perfect formula to help solidify its premise and correct the course of this show. It veers between humor and satire of longstanding American-Canadian tensions. Together, the two countries are waging a war for supremacy in space.

Vikings: Valhalla (February 25)

Prior to its arrival on Hulu, the History Channel’s Viking series filled the second half of the evening for millions of Americans for more than seven years, according to its creator Michael Hirst. By 2020, Netflix has already planned a follow-up to the hugely successful series about Ragnar Lothbrok and his saga will be in development, titled Vikings: Valhalla.

It’s no surprise that this new series will feature a number of notable characters. It includes Leif Eriksson, who left Greenland in search of power with his sister Freydis Eiriksdottir and dedicated his religion to the old gods. Harald Hardrada and William the Conqueror, who is actually distant descendant of a certain Rollo.
