Netflix and Microsoft

The streaming giant teams up with Microsoft to offer more affordable, and cheaper subscription plans for its viewers. The streaming platform aims to offer an ad-supported subscription that they would offer a smaller amount for their avid watchers. You may want to check out this article to know more.
A reason for this is that the company dropped 35 percent of its subscribed users, around 200,000 customers in the first quarter of this year ended their plans. Also, they chose Microsoft as a global advertising technology and sales partner, according to analyst Ross Benes, “Unlike the top three ad sellers in Google, Meta, and Amazon, Microsoft hasn’t pushed competing streaming products”.
Netflix’s Chief Operating Officer Greg Peters mentions in their blog post the flexibility and privacy protections among its users. “It’s very early days and we have much to work through. But our long-term goal is clear. More choice for consumers and a premium, better-than-linear TV brand experience for advertisers,” Peters wrote.
With numerous competitors in the likes of Amazon Prime, Apple TV, Disney+, and HBO Max. Inflation worldwide affects the sales of Netflix and other platforms, as people cut off unnecessary needs. In line with this, the partnership aims to attract more viewers with a budget-friendly price. The only confirmed statement on this is the possible roll-out of these new plans later this year.
Moreover, the streaming platform mentions that it never wanted any ads in its viewing. Microsoft is responsible for the platform’s design and management for companies who are interested to serve ads. However, there are no prices for the plans yet, we are hoping for the best for this Netflix and Microsoft team-up.
