It’s still way too early to say but NBA fans might get to see some blockbuster action come the opening of the trade window as early as January 2023. There have already been some notable names that may be traded before the deadline. You might have heard some of these rumors already while some might shock you.
James Wiseman
Nearly three weeks ago, the Golden State Warriors assigned the 2020 2nd overall pick to their G-League affiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors.

It’s obvious that the Dubs are looking to make something out of the failed Wiseman project. Offering Wiseman in exchange for some cap space would lead the Warriors back on track to winning. Plus, GSW has signed Jordan Poole and Andrew Wiggins to huge extensions which means they can no longer cater Wiseman’s contract.
Bojan Bogdanovic
Bogdanovic is a very underrated scorer and most of the time, he is getting less attention. Through 24 games this season, he is averaging a career-high 21 points per game. Judging by his numbers, you could see that all-star potential.

However, the Pistons aren’t surely not looking to win. Instead, they want to tank for the French stud, Victor Wembanyama. Detroit is one of the strong contenders to land Wembanyama in the 2023 NBA draft. To tank means to lose more, thus they have to deal Bojan Bogdanovic to a contender which could definitely use his sharpshooting (*cough* HAWKS *cough*).

Jae Crowder
Jae Crowder hasn’t played a single game for the Phoenix Suns this season. There’s somewhat of a rift between him and the Suns organization after the team chose Cam Johnson to start over Crowder. Because of that, JC requested a trade from the front office and has been listed as unavailable in games since then.

Jae Crowder is a 3-and-D guy who would be very useful for any team in the NBA. There have been reported interests from the Miami Heat, Milwaukee Bucks, Philadelphia 76ers, and the Atlanta Hawks. It’s also evident that the Suns are already looking to send Crowder away at the upcoming trade deadline.
Buddy Hield
Buddy Hield has two more years left in his contract which amounts to about $40 million. Not that much, which means he could be sent somewhere in exchange for some picks.

The Pacers also have a great chance of landing Victor Wembanyama next year plus they already have an emerging star with Tyrese Haliburton. They are already open to trading their talented guards – Buddy Hield and Malcolm Brogdon. In the past, the Los Angeles Lakers expressed their interest in Hield, but everyone was shocked when they opted to take Westbrook instead. Now that they seem to be unhappy with Russ, there are talks that a Westbrook for Buddy Hield/Myles Turner trade might be possible soon.
Rusell Westbrook
Even before the season began, talks of trade options for Russ has been going around the league. This season could probably be Westbrook’s worst and although the Los Angeles Lakers are on a roll, Russ is still not in the safe zone.

LeBron James is already 38 years old, therefore, he wants to win now. As much as he can, he’s gonna be changing the roster into a championship contender caliber team. There have been rumors of a Russ for Kyrie trade, Russ for Buddy Hield and Myles Turner, and many more. We may get to see some blockbuster action next month if the Lakers decide to part ways with Russell Westbrook.
Zach Lavine
It’s sad to hear that it’s not going very well for the Chicago Bulls despite having an amazing cast of Zach Lavine, DeMar Derozan, Nikola Vucevic, and Alex Caruso.

They are entertaining to watch but with the likes of the Bucks, Sixers, Cavaliers, Celtics, Heat, and Nets, the Bulls have no chance of reaching the finals. Currently, Chi-town is 12th in the east (9-12) and Zach Lavine is not happy about the club’s losing streak. Meanwhile, Dallas Mavericks is very eager to pair Luka Doncic with another superstar. They are also reportedly interested in signing Lavine in exchange for Tim Hardaway Jr., Dorian Finney-Smith, Josh Green, plus multiple first-round picks.
