NBA: LeBron James could potentially return to Miami | Here’s why

LeBron James could return to Miami Heat

The Los Angeles Lakers, after winning the first-ever In-Season Tournament championship, have been terrible. Even LeBron James admits that they “suck right now” judging how they’ve lost 7 of their last 10 games. Since the IST finals, the Lakers have turned out to be one of the worst shooting teams (no.24) and probably in the bottom half in terms of defense. With the current situation in the purple and gold locker room, rumors are rumbling inside the organization that LeBron James could potentially be dealt back to where he won his first championship – the Miami Heat.

Bill Simmons creates a bold trade package that could make LeBron go back to Miami

During the weekend, sports writer Bill Simmons proposed a possible trade scenario where the Miami Heat would send Duncan Robinson, Nikola Jovic, Kyle Lowry, and some draft picks in exchange for LeBron James. While it seems like an offer that the Lakers won’t probably be accepting, it’s still remarkable that there’s an absolute way that LBJ can return to Florida.

Just imagine Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, Jaime Jaquez Jr., and LeBron James playing together in Miami! If that’s not a championship contender, then we don’t know what is. It’s also likely that Tyler Herro will be part of that trade since the Lakers will definitely be asking a hefty price for the 39-year-old superstar.

There are other teams like the Philadelphia 76ers and the Golden State Warriors that could make a run for LeBron. Both teams have highly talented rosters and they also have some assets to offer for LBJ. But, a reunion between James and Miami wouldn’t just be nostalgic, it would be stellar.

Miami Heat seemingly attracting LeBron James with this move

Amidst the rumor of possibly getting LeBron James back, the Miami Heat are reportedly actively taking notes on Bronny James. The young guard has put every scout on notice after a good college debut last month. LeBron has always wanted to play with his sons and even mentioned that “he goes where Bronny goes”, it’s not implausible that Miami could have the father-duo of LeBron and Bronny.

The King will be going into his player option next season and has every right to either sign with another contender or extend his contract with Los Angeles. But, considering how the team has been bad so far, who’s to say that the future Hall-of-Famer won’t be taking his talent to South Beach (again)?
