February 25, 2022 – DeMar DeRozan recorded his 8th straight 35+ point game against the Atlanta Hawks.
He is now second on the Chicago Bull’s history in this category, just behind the great Michael Jordan (10 consecutive 35-point games). The 32-year-old all-star is just two games away from breaking this fantastic feat.
The 5-time All-Star joins an elite company in NBA history with 8 straight 35-point games. He is now the 7th player to be part of this group consisting of Wilt Chamberlain, Elgin Baylor, Michael Jordan, LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, and James Harden.
In a game against Trae Young and the Hawks, Derozan scored 37 of the Bull’s 112 points. The game was so close as both teams went at it ’til the end. The ending was even wilder as DeMar brought the crowd to their feet in crunch time.

He came up clutch in the final seconds of the game, hitting an and-one midrange jumper against Bogdanovic, which puts them ahead 110-108. The Hawks failed to make a basket to force overtime, which resulted in a loss (108-112).
The Chicago Bulls mark their 6th straight win and are now the first seed in the tight Eastern Conference (39-21).
DeMar DeRozan is playing his best season in his career so far. As a Bulls, he is having a career-high average of 28.3 points, while shooting 52.1% from the field and 35.3% from the trifecta.
He was still an elite player when he played with the Spurs but was not highlighted in the spotlight due to a small market team (Spurs). But, this season, he has put the league on notice and shown that he’s one of the most talented players. Is DeRozan making a case for the league MVP?
DeRozan is once again an All-Star and was even chosen as a starter. He and the Bulls are on their way to a successful championship run this coming playoff.
