Netflix’s La Casa de Papel, popularized as the Money Heist series, may have come to an end, but they have more up on their sleeves. They would offer this spin-off series with no other than everyone’s favorite (or not), Berlin. The announcement came late last year, and just recently, we already have the release date and first look for the Money Heist spin-off Berlin. Here’s everything we got from the Netflix announcement just this week. Are you up to know more about the beloved genius Berlin?
Netflix’s Berlin release date
In a short video announcement posted on all Netflix YouTube channel regions, Berlin comes back with another heist. The setting may not be in Spain, and we may not see the original cast, but this would make us know El Professor’s sibling, Berlin.
- Certainly, Netflix dropped the release date of the upcoming Money Heist spin-off in the announcement. Money Heist Berlin arrives only on Netflix on December 2023. No specific date yet, but we can see Berlin in the last month of this year. You may view the teaser below, and send us your thoughts.
- The 52-second teaser announcement showed Berlin in his natural habitat, probably planning a heist using a diorama, and some jewels. Netflix, significantly, has Pedro Alonso to play the iconic role once again. This time, unraveling the life and love (or loves) of Berlin.
- What’s actually interesting about Berlin’s life would be the time he spent in the city of love, Paris, France. And how Berlin, scratch that, how Andrés de Fonollosa balances his (possible) love life and a heist in Vienot which apparently, is a French auction house. Will he obtain the huge ruby from the auction house? That’s what we’ll find out in December.
The First Look
Along with the release date announcement, the first look at Berlin dropped too. Meet the new cast AKA meet the people involved in Berlin’s life. What can we expect from Berlin, aside from being a genius in stealing, we can say he’s great at getting around women, so love interests, yep.
- Pedro Alonso as Berlin, of course, graces the first images of the spin-off. The first look also shares a few shots during the filming of the upcoming series.
- New characters that were previously announced last year also includes in the first-look images. Netflix gave the first look at Keila, Damian, Cameron, Roi, and Bruce too. You may check out the official Twitter of La Casa de Papel to see all photos!
- As for the plot, we may have to wait for quite some time until we can see the summary of the series. However, we can expect that the Money Heist Berlin will offer numerous heists and robberies headed by Berlin, hmm, maybe numerous wives or love interests too.
- Moreover, we can find out how Andrés de Fonollosa lived his life in Paris, him suffering from a terminal disease, Parkinson’s, and every loophole in his life. Oh, we’ll probably see El Professor here too, so watch out!
