NEW YORK (March 25) – One of the most in-demand actors today found himself behind bars after an alleged assault case. Creed III and Kang actor, Jonathan Majors, was arrested by authorities in New York after reportedly assaulting an unnamed woman. Let’s dive deeper and try to know what really happened.

What really happened?
According to the police, they received a 911 emergency call from an apartment in Chelsea, Manhattan, New York City on March 25 at around 11 am. After responding to the call, the cops found out that a 33-year-old male (Jonathan Majors) allegedly assaulted a 30-year-old female tenant following a dispute. According to TMZ, the woman was Majors’ girlfriend. The victim’s name was not shared with the public for safety purposes.
“A preliminary investigation determined that a 33-year-old male was involved in a domestic dispute with a 30-year-old female,” according to a statement from the Deputy Commissioner of Public Information. “The victim informed police she was assaulted. Officers placed the 33-year-old male into custody without incident. The victim sustained minor injuries to her head and neck and was removed to an area hospital in stable condition.”
The unnamed woman accused Majors of assault which included strangulation and harassment that led to her being hospitalized. TMZ also revealed that sources told them the altercation between the two began when the victim confronted Majors for allegedly texting other women. When she tried to take a look at the 33-year-old actor’s phone, Majors got extremely mad. He then grabbed her by the neck, strangled her, and continuously slapped her. She then reported the incident to the cops and Majors was arrested later on. However, Jonathan Majors’ camp said that “He has done nothing wrong. We look forward to clearing his name and clearing this up.”

Jonathan Majors’s history of violence: From troubled teen to Hollywood star
Majors, born in California, had a very challenging childhood and teenage years. His father left them and they moved on to another place. He and his family lived in a neighborhood filled with criminals who used to be thieves, murderers, and drug dealers. It was inevitable that it would have an impact on his life later on.
As a teenager, Majors faced a lot of problems involving criminal charges. First, he was arrested for shoplifting. Then, he was suspended from his high school after going into a fight with another student. But, that’s not all. At 16, Jonathan Majors was kicked out of his home and eventually became homeless. Thankfully, he redeemed himself after finding interest in theater acting. Shortly after, Majors enrolled in the University of North Carolina School for the Arts for a degree in fine arts. He even went for his Master’s in the prestigious school of Yale School of Drama and graduated in 2016. Since then, his career skyrocketed and you can see Majors playing major roles nowadays.

Jonathan Majors has a long list of upcoming movies which included his contract to play Kang the Conqueror in the MCU. As the franchise’s biggest villain so far, he will be starring in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty slated to be released in 2025.
By December this year, his new movie Magazine Dreams will also be gracing the cinemas. Majors will portray Killian Maddox, an amateur bodybuilder who embarks on a complex journey for fame. As it seems, Majors is having the best time in his career. He has been cast in major roles especially since he will be a face in the MCU in the coming years. But, with his recent controversy, this could compromise his career and definitely kill his hopes to land bigger parts in the future.
