The acting diva of Hollywood Angelina Jolie has confirmed that she will be reviving her role in Maleficent 3. The star had previously teased retiring from acting which had upset her fans but the recent updates hint towards a packed year for the star. Angelina Jolie is returning with Maleficent 3
Maleficent is probably the most popular story of a villain and queer icon in the history of Disney’s production and this movie is incomplete without Angelina Jolie. She has gained massive credibility in bringing this character to life which is why fans couldn’t have imagined a sequel without Jolie.

Fortunately, they do not have to do that as the 48-year-old star has confirmed that she will be returning to the screens from Maleficent 3. This news came as a massive surprise and relief to her fans who had slowly begun to give up on hopes of seeing her on screen again.
Earlier this week, the star appeared for an interview with the Wall Street Journal, where she candidly talked about losing and rediscovering her path. In the same interview, the star confirmed that she has signed Maleficent 3.

In addition to that, she is also going to produce a Broadway show and launch a stand-alone fashion venture. Although she has hinted towards several other projects Maleficent 3 isn’t going to be her last appearance on the screen.
In the meantime, fans can look forward to learning more about the third installment of Disney‘s favorite antagonist movie as the production begins. One of the much-awaited news will be whether Jolie’s co-stars Elle Fanning (Briar Rose) and Sam Riley (Diaval) will return for the film.

The second part of the trilogy, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil picked up the story after a five-year leap. Aurora (Elle Fanning) now became the Queen of the Moors and decided to marry her beloved Prince of Ulstead (Harris Dickinson).

The only remaining trouble in her journey towards happily ever after was Queen Ingrid (Michelle Pfeiffer), who despised the fairy culture and Maleficent. However, in the end, the antagonist wins over the power-hungry Queen Ingrid and accepts Auror’s marriage.
Following this, the creators neither accepted nor denied the third part of the film. Despite this fans had a feeling that this could turn into a full trilogy rather than remaining as a two-part movie and they were very much true.

However, due to the hush about the third installment throughout the past four years, there isn’t much we can confirm right now. What we know is that Angelina Jolie is confirmed to return with the threequel and the film is in the making.
Considering this as the first ignition of the film’s promotion it shall possibly be released sometime in 2025 or 2026. Additionally, as Elle Fanning is just as backbone of the franchise as Jolie she is also likely to return in Disney Maleficent 3.
