Earlier today, I reported on a possible collaboration between LEGO and Sony. The claim was made by Kurakasis, a trustworthy source for video game leaks. Now, Tom Henderson, a senior game journalist has confirmed a LEGO Horizon Trailer is ready to go live and that the said collaboration is, in fact, LEGO Horizon.
Henderson tweeted this:
I’m not particularly fond of the “I know something, and you don’t” obligatory vague insider BS. But from what I know, there’s a LEGO Horizon trailer that’s ready to go. It also suggests that the rumors of a showcase soon are accurate.
This doesn’t only confirm a LEGO Horizon project(or a game, if we’re lucky) but the long rumored PlayStation games showcase as well.
Users online are speculating it could be just another LEGO set, like the loved Tallneck set. Nate, or shinobi602, a well-known personality in the video games space, however, has hinted towards a game, and not just another set. Replying to a user who wrote “lego spiderman the game”, shinobi wrote, “Not Spider-Man” without touching on “the game” part of the phrase.
It’s still too early for us to comment anything specific on the collaboration but the question remains; will we see a full-fledged LEGO Horizon game?
Another tweet from Henderson slightly hints it could be a game. Replying to a Twitter user who asked if it’ll be a showcase or a State of Play, he wrote, “No idea. They both showcase games, so I am not bothered lol.”
We’ll keep you updated.
