A recent Fortnite leak talks about a new summer-themed vehicle: Surfboards
Based on what we know so far, the leak seems pretty legit since it came from one of Fortnite’s most credible data miners. HYPEX, a Fortnite creator and leaker, took to Twitter and revealed that there is a new vehicle coming to the game this summer.

- Surfboards will be a new addition to Fortnite to celebrate the Summer season. Who doesn’t love catching some waves to cool down, right?
- If the leak does turn out to be true, the surfboards may come in different colors and designs. It’s still unclear whether the vehicle can only be used on water or if it can serve as hoverboards.
- While riding this summer-themed vehicle in Fortnite, players can travel with great speed. This is helpful for players who are trying to outrun an enemy or the Storm but don’t want to be spotted in something big like a car.
- Although there is the option for players to swim, this is a tricky way to travel on water in Fortnite. First, you’re vulnerable to getting shot at by players on land. Second, it’s quite limiting. With the addition of this new vehicle in Fortnite, it might introduce new ways to fight against other players, too!

Some fans doubt it’s releasing in Fortnite anytime soon
Despite the fact that HYPEX is a credible leaker, some fans aren’t getting their hopes up for the new vehicle in Fortnite. According to some players, leakers have already released information about surfboards in Fortnite in the past. However, Epic Games never officially released the vehicle in the game.

On the other hand, we’re still hopeful that surfboards actually do come to the game in the summer update. This season in Fortnite typically starts in June and runs through August. Epic Games has never disappointed when it comes to releasing summer-themed content anyway.
