On April 4, 2023, a Korean news outlet reported that BTS’ Jungkook is building a five-story mansion in Itaewon. It is one of the wealthiest and most prominent neighborhoods in South Korea and features many hip attractions.
The media outlets shared many details regarding the construction of the mansion. It will allegedly include two floors below the ground and three floors above. The total area of the new mansion will be 1161.04 sq. meters as per reports from Korean news outlets.
Furthermore, they mentioned that the K-pop idol purchased the mansion for 7.63 billion won, three years ago in December 2020. The land used to be a red-brick house of a private European art museum at the time of purchase. The house is now demolished as of 2022, following which the construction of the idol’s new building commenced.
Fans couldn’t hold back their excitement for the new home of BTS’s youngest member and soon congratulated him through social media.

They also watched several videos of the mansion’s construction on YouTube. However, there isn’t much clarity if the videos actually feature the construction of Jungkook’s new home.

If BTS’ Jungkook moves into this property, he will become a neighbor with directors and CEOs of different companies. This will include Choi Tae-won, the chairman of SK Group, and Kim Joon-ki, the chairman of DB Group Founding.

It took the BTS singer two years to receive permission for building a mansion from the Yongsan-gu office, as per the reports of the South Korean media outlets.

The construction of Jungkook’s five-story mansion is underway and it will reportedly to ready to move in by May 31, 2024.
