The dancing Psyduck on Weibo, as many referred to it as China’s Instagram, had racked up more than 25 million views.

Since its release last weekend, the toy has had a re-selling price of about $200 on various online selling platforms. If you like the absurd but fitting dance moves of Psyduck, go spend that $200 if you have some to spare.

The toy is already sold out on most KFC outlets as fans and scalpers already tried to scour most of the branches. KFC gives a random toy and does not guarantee the dancing Psyduck. But based on previous experience, the crew from food establishments are always generous with the right attitude.

This is not the first time that KFC released Pokemon Toy Collectibles as they regularly release these at special events. Last Chinese Lunar New Year, there are also some pretty cute Pokemon Toys such as Slow Poke, Jigglypuff, Squirtle, and three variations of Pikachu. However, nothing beats this Dancing Psyduck.

China: Children’s Day

The origin of Children’s Day started in June 1856 with Reverend Dr. Charles Leonard a US-based pastor. By 1950, many countries adopted June 1 as The International Day for Protection of Children. Other than this, United Nations also set a Universal Children’s Day in 1954 which will be remembered every November 20.

Children’s Day (六一国际儿童节) in China is an official public holiday and celebrated every 1st of June. Its history goes way back to 1949 when the State Council dedicated a half-day off for all primary schools all over China.

Commemorations like the dancing Psyduck Toys are usual while some businesses offer discounts on kid-related items and some tourist attractions are deemed free.

Psyyy! Psyyy… duck… Psyduck? Psyduck?!?!?!
