Kanye West is back in the headlines at his disruptive best as the rapper finds himself embroiled in at least four different controversies, all of which have popped up over the past couple of days. The 46-year-old hip-hop icon’s new Vultures album, in collaboration with Ty Dolla $ign, got postponed thanks to an ongoing feud with Nicki Minaj. At the same time, Ye has also gone on an anti-Zionist rant, worsening his already severed ties with the Jewish community. Let’s break down all the recent controversies and understand them in detail.
Nicki Minaj blocks Kanye West collab
The ‘Anaconda’ singer features in Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign’s upcoming ‘Vultures’ album along with other artists like Future and Playboi Carti. Earlier, Kanye had shared a screenshot of a text message that he had sent to Nicki Minaj asking her permission to clear the ‘New Body’ track on the album.
Nicki Minaj confirmed in an Instagram live-stream that she will not be approving the New Body verse, claiming that ‘the train had passed’. As a result, Kanye lashed out against Nicki in a public gathering as he emphasized how he had helped her career in the past. Rapper Azealia Banks denied Kanye’s claims vehemently.
Vultures album delay, explained
As the rapper suggests, Nicki is yet to grant her approval for her verse that features in the song. The tentative release date for the album has passed and this seems to have been one of the main reasons behind Vultures’ delay. Notably, ‘New Body’ has been in the works for many years since the rumored ‘Yandhi’ album in 2018.
Kanye West’s fans expressed their anger and disappointment over the delay of Vultures, which was supposed to mark his return to music after Donda and his antisemitism fallout. The ‘Runaway’ singer has a history of delaying most of his album’s releases and he has done it once again.
Rant in Las Vegas and controversial outfit
Despite the album’s postponement, Kanye West held a listening party for his peers and friends, like he always does. New music aside, the Las Vegas party went viral for the wrong reasons as the rapper went on an unhinged rant against Zionist Jews and former president Donald Trump. Watch the rant here:

He also attacked fellow artists like Jay-Z, Drake and Travis Scott along with big brands like Adidas and Balenciaga. Furthermore, Kanye was subject to criticism on social media platforms for wearing racist clothes. The hip-hop producer donned a black Ku Klux Klan hooded costume which many found in poor taste as they labeled him ‘KKKanye’.
