One Super Bowl spot is just not enough to promote a film as big as John Wick: Chapter 4. So, Lionsgate has come up with Wick Week, a week full of updates, posters and new trailers for the upcoming Keanu Reeves starrer. As a part of Wick Week, we now know that John Wick 4 will have a whopping runtime of 3 hours. Read to find out what we can expect from the newest addition to Baba Yaga’s legacy.
3 hour-long runtime
John Wick: Chapter 4’s marketing has revolved around a concept that Christopher Nolan loves: time. The posters and promotional material have all featured ticking clocks and hourglasses with bullets, implying that the legendary assassin is running out of time.

- Speaking of time, John Wick: Chapter 4’s runtime of 2 hours and 49 minutes with credits has stunned the fans of the franchise.Â
- John Wick films have gradually progressed in runtime with each sequel. The first part was just 101 minutes long while the sequels were 122 and 131 minutes long respectively.

What can we expect?
So, what can we expect from John Wick 4? Thanks to the hefty runtime, we can count on even more insane fight scenes. A longer runtime would mean that the stakes are higher, and we can see more elaborate action set pieces from hand-to-hand combat to gun battles to car chases.

- Of course, we can’t forget about the villains. So far, it’s been confirmed that Bill SkarsgĂ¥rd (aka Pennywise the Clown from IT) and Hiroyuki Sanada (from The Last Samurai and Westworld) will be playing major antagonists in the movie.
- Given that there are multiple heavyweight villains in the film, a due amount of screen time is needed for John Wick to face off against each one of them and resolve his conflicts. Not through peace, but the Baba Yaga’s signature brand of action.
Cast members
Donnie Yen, famous for his work in the Ip Man franchise, will be joining the cast as an old friend of John’s. Japanese-British pop star Rina Sawayama will also be making her big-screen debut in John Wick 4.
