UFC 285 Weigh Ins
Jake Gyllenhaal stole the show at the UFC 285 weigh-ins in Las Vegas (March 3). But what was he doing there, you ask? Well, brace yourselves, because Gyllenhaal and former UFC fighter Jay Hieron were not there to compete. Instead, they were filming their own version of the weigh-in, which is all part of the highly-anticipated remake of the 1989 classic “Road House.”

Jake Gyllenhaal KOs UFC Fighter Jay Hieron
On Saturday night (March 4), during UFC 285, the cameras were rolling as Jake Gyllenhaal and former UFC fighter Jay Hieron stepped into the octagon for an intense, staged fight.
With a flying knee, Gyllenhaal wowed the crowd and knocked out his opponent, but he didn’t stop there. Refusing to back down, he fought off MMA referee Chris Tognoni and continued to pummel his fallen foe. And as if that wasn’t exciting enough, even the legendary UFC cage announcer, Bruce Buffer, made a cameo in the film.

The story follows a tough bouncer named Dalton who is hired to clean up a rowdy bar in Missouri. However, he soon finds himself in the middle of a dangerous situation involving corrupt businessmen, a violent gang, and a romance with the bar owner.
The original movie is considered a cult classic. It is known for its memorable action scenes, quotable one-liners, and charismatic performance by Swayze.
Jake Gyllenhaal’s MMA training
For his role in the upcoming “Road House” remake, Gyllenhaal has reportedly undergone intensive physical training. So while he may not be an MMA fighter in real life, he is certainly taking on a physically demanding role that requires him to be in top shape.
Gyllenhaal has transformed his body time and time again. From losing weight for “Nightcrawler” to bulking up for “Prince of Persia.” Among his most intense training regimen has been for his role in the 2015 movie “Southpaw.”
What role does Connor McGregor play in the Road House movie remake?
Reports say that McGregor will be playing the role of Jimmy Reno, a menacing henchman who serves as the right-hand man to the villain in the original movie. If the rumors are true, this would mark McGregor’s first major acting role
