Is Poppy Playtime Available For Console?

In the era of gaming dominated by giants like Microsoft, Sony, and EA, a few indie studios still surprise the audience sometimes. Many such studios come with games based on new and unique concepts. One such latest game which is rocking the internet for a few weeks is Poppy Playtime. It is a horror puzzle adventure that tasks you with surviving the vengeful toys waiting for you in the abandoned toy factory. It has been called one of the scariest latest games by many fans and critics and came out to be quite the Halloween surprise.

What Is Poppy Playtime?

For those who do not know, Poppy Playtime is a horror puzzle adventure developed and published by MOB Games. It was released on the 12th of October, making it in time for the Halloween season. The game tasks you with surviving the vengeful toys waiting for you in the abandoned toy factory. Within the brief time since its release, it has received a lot of love from fans and has quickly become one of the most trending games of the month.

Poppy Playtime currently has just one chapter but chapter 2 or season 2 is surely coming really soon. Sometimes simply designed games have the ability to surprise the audience even more so than the most well-designed ones. Poppy Playtime is a prime example of just that. You have to find clues spread around the world of Poppy Playtime and uncover the mystery behind the staff’s disappearance. But it isn’t that easy, as a lot of horror in the literal sense awaits you.

If you are a horror puzzle lover and haven’t tried it out, you must. There is only one restriction however which is that it is only available on PC. This leads us to question when will it be available for consoles?

Coming to Consoles?

• It is quite weird that it is a Microsoft Windows exclusive game and isn’t even on Xbox yet. Not only that, no such concrete plans for the same have been revealed.
• Currently, Poppy Playtime has no port or version for any of the consoles, be it PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, or Xbox Series X/S. It simply doesn’t exist but it’s only a matter of time before it does.

Why are we so confident? Because the game is doing exceptionally well on PC according to Steam and the way it’s trending. Chapter 2 is on its way and it’s entirely possible that once the PC version is complete, it may as well be released on consoles. The console releases might start with Xbox, cause it would be easier to port a Microsoft Windows exclusive game to Xbox. We can also expect PS and Switch ports later but again, nothing is official. All these are expectations and assumptions, so it is best to wait for some official words.
