NBA 2k23 is set to release in a few days and it has fans hyped for what new content they’ll be getting in this years NBA 2k game. However, there is one problem plaguing the game franchise. So far, it looks like NBA 2k23 won’t include cross-play, too. But the anticipated Zion Williamson Dunk Package might make up for it.

First things first: are we getting cross-play in NBA 2k23?
Ah, one of the timeless questions since NBA 2k introduced online match ups. It’s no secret that players look forward to cross-play in most online multiplayer games. However, the team behind the 2k games seem to ignore this feature.

If you’re wondering what cross-play does if it’s available in NBA 2k, it lets players go against other players on different consoles. So if you were playing on the PS5, you can face off against a player on an Xbox or PC.
Some games which include cross-play are Apex Legends and Fortnite.
- Players always enjoy this feature since they get to test their skills against gamers using either a keyboard and mouse or controller.
- On the other hand, cross-play is great if you have friends playing on different platforms.
But we have yet to see this feature introduced in games like NBA 2k23. Furthermore, sports games don’t seem to embrace cross-play since we rarely see it available in these games.
Aside from NBA 2k, another sports game which doesn’t have a cross-play feature is FIFA.Â
And if you’re still hoping for cross-play in the upcoming NBA 2k23, we hate to be the bearer of bad news. From what we’ve seen in previous NBA 2k titles, cross-play has never been a feature.
Moreover, they would have announced the feature by now if they decided to include it. For now, you’ll just have to settle for playing against gamers on the same platform as you.
NBA 2k has released footage of Zion Williamson recording his Dunk Package
Zion Williamson has been out of the spotlight for a while. After suffering from a few injuries here and there, he’s been on the road to recovery. However, he hit over 300 pounds while recovering so the journey has been tough for this NBA player.
But in a recent clip from NBA 2k shared by Bleacher Report, we see Zion in action. In the clip, we see Zion in all his dunking glory as he records his dunk package for NBA 2k23.

Zion looks like he’s nearly recovered from all the injuries he sustained during his time on the court. With that being said, it’ll be exciting to see him playing for the Pelicans once more.
If the talks are true of Zion coming back in the regular season, other teams should watch out for NOLA. Other fans are already talking about the big three of the Pelicans: Ingram, McCollum, and Williamson.Â
We’re nothing but excited to see what the future has in store for the Pelicans as they may possibly dominate the conference. Plus, Zion’s dunk package in NBA 2k23 is definitely something we’re looking forward to see once we get our hands on the game.

NBA 2k23 is available on all major platforms starting September 9, 2022. These platforms include the PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Windows.
Although there is still no cross-play feature in the game, we can expect a better roster. Additionally, NBA 2k has shared some clips of them recording player movements. There’s only a few days left before we get to have a brand new NBA experience on our consoles.
