UFC 282 is just days away, but this event may not be the biggest fight of Paddy “The Baddy” Pimblett this year. Paddy made intriguing comments about the YouTuber turned pro-boxer (Jake Paul) saying that Paul isn’t a bad boxer but he believes Paul’s fights are “fixed”. As a result of this slander, Jake Paul responded by offering the UFC fighter a $1 Million cash prize if he wins against him in a sparring match. However, if Paddy loses, he is obligated to join the United Fighter’s Association, the promotion Jake Paul created.

Paul proposed Paddy to fight him in Puerto Rico and even offered to fly him via a private jet. Knowing that Paddy will be fighting in UFC 282 on Sunday (December 11), this could happen – if agreed by both parties – next week, probably on the 19th or 20th. In his YouTube channel, Paddy discussed every detail of Jake Paul’s proposition and he handled it perfectly. That being said, will they be really fighting in a boxing match?

Who is Paddy “The Baddy” Pimblett?
Paddy “The Baddy” Pimblett is a lightweight fighter in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). The 27-year-old Englishman out of Liverpool, United Kingdom made his way to the UFC after becoming the champion in the featherweight division of Cage Warriors.
He became famous for his hilarious victory celebrations such as teabagging his opponent and his quirky dances. Not only that, he made a touching speech about mental health issues and things connected to suicide.
Will we see Jake Paul and Paddy fight in the ring? If so, who’s gonna win in a boxing match?
It’s hard to say if we are ever going to see them go at each other because of some difficulties such as:
- They play different sports. Jake Paul is a boxer while Paddy is a mixed martial artist and fights in the UFC.
- They are also in very different weight classes. Paul is a cruiserweight (junior heavyweight) while Paddy is a lightweight. The boxer weighs about 190 pounds while the up-and-coming UFC star weighs about 155 pounds.
In light of this matter, Paddy does not want to fight Paul on his “terms”. He wants it his way and suggests that they meet halfway in their weight class. Additionally, Paddy admitted he has never been a boxer which means it would be an advantage for Jake Paul. Of course, Paul wouldn’t want any smoke with Paddy in the octagon because that would just be outrageous and he would automatically get beat to a pulp. But, the idea of them battling it out in the same ring is still far from reality. Who knows, maybe someday we’ll get to see them box for a million dollars.
