Angelica Ross seems to be on the go to share her alleged terrible experience on the set of American Horror Story: 1984. After calling the show’s creator, Ryan Murphy, out for allegedly ghosting her following pitching an idea about an all-Black AHS season, she now accused one of the series’ stars, Emma Roberts, of being transphobic.

Is Emma Roberts Transphobic?
Ross, who was part of AHS Seasons 9 and 10 (1984 and Double Feature), claimed during an Instagram Live that Roberts misgendered her and didn’t identify her as a woman on the show’s set. At the time, she said they were goofing around when the Scream Queens star pretended to talk to the director, John J. Gray, about her.
“John, Angelica’s being mean,” Roberts said while being demonstrated by Ross. Though she knew her fellow actress was just quipping, she revealed Gray asked them to stop what they were doing and get back to work.
However, Ross asserted that Roberts looked at her and said, “Don’t you mean lady?” She then covered her mouth and turned away, leaving the offended transgender rights advocate confused.
“I’m looking at her deadass in the camera… trying to process [what] the f*** she just said,” Ross continued. “My blood is boiling.”

Angelica Ross Choosing to Stay Mum about Emma Roberts’ Transphobic Ways
But despite being offended, Ross chose to stay mum and didn’t report the incident. She knew Roberts would only get away from her alleged problematic behavior. If she said anything, it might even turn out that she was at fault.
“I know this because there was someone who spoke up about what [Roberts] was doing, and they got repercussions from it,” she revealed. “Not her! They did.”
After what happened, the Pose star never talked to Roberts again, despite doing some scenes together.

Angelica Ross’ Other Claims about Emma Roberts’ Transphobic Attitude
Sadly, that isn’t the only time Ross fell victim to Roberts being allegedly transphobic. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), she made another claim: the award-winning star imitated her voice, laughed, and dropped it “several octaves.”
As expected, she was again surprised after Roberts read her for blood with her own words. After that incident, she was left self-conscious about her voice on the set.

Emma Roberts Apologized to Angelica Ross
After making several claims about Roberts being allegedly transphobic, Ross revealed the former had apologized, though she didn’t address the allegations. The 42-year-old said Roberts called and recognized her behavior wasn’t that of “an ally.”
And despite what happened between the two, Ross decided to leave her line open to see more of Roberts’ plan to do better and support social justice causes with her platform. As of this writing, the Holidate star hasn’t addressed anything publicly yet.

Ross also thanked everyone who had shown their support to her. But she also asked them not to make violent jokes toward Roberts, though she would allow jokes about her being “held accountable.”
By the looks of it, all’s well that ends well between the two actresses.
