Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) defeated Rajasthan Royals (RR) by 4 wickets. Here are the highlights of the match.

RCB won the toss and elected to bowl first. The decision to bowl first was proved right for the Challengers. They took the first wicket of Jaiswal in the 2nd over.  But Buttler was still in the crease along with Devdutt Padikaal. They made a fabulous partnership of 70 runs. The partnership was broken by Harshal Patel in the 10th over reducing RR to 76/2. The captain Sanju Samson was caught and bowled by Hasranga. The hope was again awakened. RR batting was like an average batting performance but Hatmyer and Buttler scored a lot of runs in the last overs taking RR to a good target of 169/3.

RCB required 170 runs to win the game. the opening partnership between the openers was good, both were scoring runs. But RCB’s ex-spinner Chahal took the crucial wicket of Faf Du Plessis. After this wicket RCB’s middle-order batting was shattered. Anuj Rawat got out in the next over, and unfortunately, King Kohli got run out. Chahal did his magic again by taking the wicket of David Willey in the same over.

However, hope was still there because Dinesh Kartik and Shahbaz Ahmed were there to handle the inning.  Both were handling the game nicely. It was anticipated that Some magic was going to take place in the match. The magic happened and the magician was none other than Dinesh Kartik. Ahmed got out by scoring 45 runs, but DK was still there to seal the game for RCB. Only 3 runs were required in the last over. Harshal Patel finished the game in style. Dinesh Kartik played a brilliant and responsible inning of 44 runs.
