The IPL 2017 final was worth of money match for the audience. Rising Pune Supergiants was the new team introduced in IPL 2017, the team was led by captain cool, MS Dhoni. This was the first IPL for RPS and they made it to the finals. Â The final was with the most balanced team in the entire IPL, Mumbai Indians. Here are the complete highlights of the IPL 2017 final.
Poor Start By Mumbai Indians

Mumbai Indians won the toss and elected to bat first. The Indians didn’t start off the innings well. RPS’ star bowler Jaydev Unadkat stroke early in the 3rd over and took both openers Parthiv Patel and Lendl Simmons in the same over. Soon after, a fabulous throw by Smith departed Ambati Rayudu to the pavilion. Mumbai Indians were in great trouble after losing their 3 top-order batsmen in just 7 overs. Rohit Sharma, captain of Indians tried to make a partnership with Krunal Pandya but stood unsuccessful as Rohit got out in the 11th over. Thereafter wickets kept on falling frequently. At last, a partnership developed between Karn Sharma and Krunal Pandya for 50 runs. Krunal Pandya was the only savior for Mumbai Indians, he scored crucial 47 runs.
Indians Snatched Final Trophy From The Super Giants
The target for the RPS was 129 runs which wasn’t a big one. They require 129 runs in 120 balls, RPS started off on a very good note. Opener Batsmen Ajinkya Rahane was looking in good form but Rahul Tripathi gave up his wicket to Bumrah in the 3rd over. Thereafter a good partnership took place between Rahane and Smith for 54 runs. Everyone was almost sure that RPS will lift their first IPL title in their first season. But the bowler of MI shattered the dreams of RPS fans. Rahane got out in the 12th over, after that Dhoni arrived on the crease to finish off the match in his style. Unfortunately, he was dismissed by Bumrah pushing RPS to 98/3. At the end of the 18th over RPS was at 119/3, they needed only 11 runs in 6 balls.
Thrilling Last Over

The last over was bowled by Jhonson. Something interesting was going to happen in the final over. Manoj Tiwary struck a four off the first ball, after that he and Smith were dismissed caught in the deep in the next two deliveries. Jhonson was on a hattrick, an Inswinging yorker outside off missed the stumps and one run was taken by Sundar. RPS needed 6 runs in 2 balls, on the next ball, Hardik Pandya dropped a catch which allowed batsmen to take two more runs. Now 4 runs were required in 1 ball, so much pressure on the bowler as well as batsmen. Dan Christian was on strike and unfortunately, he couldn’t time the ball well and got out on the last ball. This led to thrilling and fabulous for Mumbai Indians.
The final match was full of thrillers, Mumbai Indians again proved why they are known for their best bowling attack in the entire IPL.
