The Indian all-rounder cricketer Ravindra Jadeja’s wife, Rivaba, has been summoned by the Jamnagar Court on Tuesday, 1st March 2022, in the 2018 police assault case. This will be the final summons by the court for Rivaba and her mother. Despite many summons, the two women engaged in the case have failed to provide a statement.
Police Assault Case 2018
A policeman allegedly attacked Rivaba Jadeja, wife of cricketer Ravindra Jadeja, in 2018. Rivaba’s car collided with the bike of Constable Sanjay Ahir. There was no serious injury to him.
- Despite this, the constable allegedly attacked Rivaba when she stepped out of the car. Ahir even pulled Rivaba’s hair and smashed her head on the windowpane of the car several times.
- She also alleged that the constable pulled her towards him by grabbing her neck. A witness also claimed that the cop ‘thrashed Rivaba brutally’. The alleged incident occurred at Saru Section road in Jamnagar.

Ahir was booked under Section 279 (rash driving), 323 (causing hurt), and 324 (causing hurt through weapon or means) of the Indian Penal Code. However, he was released on bail after his advocate contended that the accused had been ‘wrongly arraigned.’
