Digital Continue has revealed its new title JumpStream. It is a creative, unique and remarkably innovative pixel-based puzzle-platformer releasing this month.
Plot
Night has fallen on gainful work as a game actor. For many, the only gig in town is Chiptunes, a dilapidated Opera House, run by a mysterious figure known only as “The Direction”. Four Coins an hour to go on camera and run through levels built in real time by the audience, if you’re lucky. If the audience is in a bad mood, it’s all spikes, monsters and pits. It’s a far cry from store shelves, but what are ya gonna do?
About The Game
In JumpStream, you’ll play as one of the seven playable characters to complete challenges and levels in the quickest way possible. However, there are no paths to your goal. It is absolutely impossible for you to complete a level without the assistance of another human being. And this is when it gets interesting.
JumpStream is developed in association with Mixer, the streaming platform. As you stream the game, one of your audience members will play with you, dropping tiles, creating paths and guiding you through various obstacles and puzzles. As the Steam description says –
JumpStream is a competitive platformer built in real-time by an audience, using Mixer Interactive! The goal is to work with your audience to construct an emergent path to complete challenges in the fastest possible time. Because the audience controls where your tiles are placed, there are endless strategies to use, and paths to victory!

Viewer Interaction
Once you start a level, viewers in your channel set the scene. They can choose from an entire menagerie of helpful tiles and deathly traps on your platforming journey. During the day helpful tiles cost less. During the night, harmful tiles run cheap.
Grant Tournament
Every month, Digital Continue will host a Grant Tournament where you’ll put up your entry fee, choose from your team, and compete for the cash prize! Another interesting fact about the game is that your audience can also spawn enemies and obstacles to keep you from reaching your end-goal. So, beware!
The game is developed purely for Mixer streamers and is adaptable to all playstyles, be it speedrunning, variety streaming or casual.
