Every fan of the novel waited for this! Amazon Prime Video just dropped a movie titled “Red, White and Royal Blue” based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Casey McQuiston, and those who’ve waited for months are now going ballistic. Not only that, it seems that Red, White and Royal Blue is also trending on Twitter with most users preferring to “not” get spoiled by others. Want to know more about this highly anticipated movie and where you can watch it?
Red, White, and Royal Blue movie: Is it worth to watch?
The movie adaptation of the critically acclaimed novel of the same name follows the queer love story of two very important world personalities. Meet Alex Claremont-Diaz (Taylor Zakhar Perez), the son of the President of the United States (who also happens to be the first woman in office), and Britain’s beloved Prince Henry (Nicholas Galitzine). These two heartthrobs find themselves in a rollercoaster relationship.
At the beginning, Alex and Prince Henry had a bad altercation during a grand wedding. As a result, both men grew hatred for each other. To avoid a possible international feud, U.S.A’s President and Britain’s royal family reached an agreement to make peace. By that, they wanted Alex and Henry to be more docile and friendly with each other. However, their forced public appearances and staged truce resulted to more than just a camaraderie. If you’ve seen it already or have read the books, then you’ll know Alex and Henry fell in love with each other. Unfortunately, they aren’t just normal LGBTQ couple. Both try to face the consequences of their unconventional relationship and its effects to their respective countries.
Red, White and Royal Blue movie was met with criticism and mixed reactions
