One of Wolfenstein: Youngblood’s main attractions is the Buddy Pass. The Buddy Pass is a digital license that allows us to invite friends, who don’t have the game, to play with them in cooperative mode, and with access to all of the co-op content.
How exactly does this system work? What requirements should you meet, and how can someone download the game if they haven’t bought it? In this guide, I will answer all questions you may have.
The first thing you should know is that the Buddy Pass is only included in the Deluxe edition of Wolfenstein: Youngblood. If you have the standard version, you will not be able to use it. If you meet this requirement, tell your friend to download the trial version of the game from your platform’s store. You will also need a subscription to PlayStation Plus, Xbox Live Gold, or Nintendo Switch Online. Do not forget to sign up for a Bethesda.net account if you don’t already have one. Make sure that your Bethesda.net account is linked to whatever platform you will use to play Wolfenstein: Youngblood.
Next, it’s as simple as starting the game, select “play” from the main menu and then choosing to host a game. After choosing who can join your game, invite your friend from the relevant button below. As you can see, the process is very easy.
The Buddy Pass allows you to invite all the friends you want to play with, but each game is limited to two people. If you are one of those friends that played the game through the Buddy Pass and enjoys the game enough to buy it, then you will immediately have access to everything that you unlocked as soon as you purchase the game.
Why play alone, when you can kill Nazis together?
