Today, the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has announced the last date to link the PAN card with your Aadhar card latest by 31st March 2022. Steps to link via the portal
- Firstly, open the taxation e-filing portal- https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/.
- Then, register on the portal, use the PAN number or the e-mail ID.
- Log into the portal by entering your user id, password, and date of birth.
- A pop-up window will appear, asking you to link your PAN with Aadhaar.
- If the window doesn’t appear, attend ‘Profile Settings’ on the Menu bar and click on ‘Link Aadhaar.’
- Information like name, date of birth, and gender will already be mentioned as per the PAN card details
- Now, verify the PAN details with those mentioned on Aadhaar.
- If there’s some mismatch, you would like to induce the identical corrected in either of the documents.
- If the main points match, enter your Aadhaar number and click the “link now” button
- At last, a message will inform you that your Aadhaar has been successfully linked to your PAN.
