Honkai Star Rail was recently released by miHoYo after the huge success of their previous game Genshin Impact. Just like their previous game Honkai Star Rail is full of amazing characters that have great animation. All these characters have their advantages and disadvantages and this tier list focuses on Wind characters in Honkai Star Rail and what each character has to offer in the current state of the game.
Honkai Star Rail Wind Characters Tier list
S-tier
Bronya
- Path: Harmony
- Element:Â Wind
- Star: 5*
- Tier: S
Reason: Bronya is not just limited to the tier list for wind characters but also tops in overall ranking within all the elements. She is extremely strong in her current state. Bronya can expel all debuffs from a character and gives you another turn with them. Think about having two turns with your DPS. Sounds broken, right? Well, that’s just a bit of her. Her ultimate provides a team-wide crit and attack damage buff which makes her earn rank 1 on our tier list for Wind characters in Honkai Star Rail.
A-tier
Dan Heng
- Path: The Hunt
- Element:Â Wind
- Star: 4*
- Tier: A
Reason: Dan Heng is a strong DPS character. He does well in single-target enemies who are weak to his wind element. Also, he fairly holds his ground against multiple targets if they have a weakness against Wind Element. Dan Heng mostly relies on finishing his enemies in a single hit, and his impact reduces as the battle goes longer.
The reason why I don’t recommend this hero highly as there are better heroes in the current state of the game who provides better AoE damage. Dan Heng does have a randomness to his utility where has a chance of reducing enemies’ attack speed, although it’s still not enough to make him extremely viable in the current meta.
B-tier
Sampo
- Path: The Nihility
- Element: Wind
- Star: 4*
- Tier: B
Reason: Sampo excels in dealing with AOE wind damage and hence he is good against enemies who are weak to wind elements. He debuffs or reduces enemies’ attack speed with his wind attacks which can give you a chance for another turn. Sadly, he has a chance of missing his damage from wind abilities and this randomness makes him less desirable. Although once you get comfortable with his kit you can use him till you find a better character for your team composition.

Regardless of the rankings of these characters, I believe that Honkai Star Rail is more of a composition-dependent RPG. Therefore, if you can draft a composition that matches your needs you will hold strong in any combats. Although having a broken 5* character in your team composition is always a huge positive.
