Hogwarts Legacy: Why early build is important? + Max level

Knowing “Yer a wizard” already made you think that you’re embarking on an epic journey. However, although fascinating, becoming a witch or a wizard has some difficulties. In Hogwarts Legacy, you won’t immediately become a Dark Arts teacher from the get-go. Instead, you’ll start from the very bottom – as a student of the famous Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. While being immersed in the wizarding world based on the Harry Potter novels is amazing, Hogwarts Legacy is just like any open-world role-playing game. You’re going to have to grind and gather as much experience and knowledge to become a better wizard. That being said, we will be discussing how essential early builds are and how far you can go into this game.

Early Builds and How Important They Are

Just like any other RPG, progress in Hogwarts Legacy is just as important as casting your very first spell. The story would begin with you stepping in the shoes of a witch or a wizard. However, instead of being a freshman, you will be a 5th-year Hogwarts student, who is assumed to already know a lot of things in the wizarding world. Regardless of your status, you still have to gain XP (experience points) to be able to level up.

Now, you might ask, “Why do I have to level up when I can just goof around the school?”. Well, to be able to fend off enemies, you have to become a stronger magic caster. To do so, you have to complete quests and side missions and gain a lot of XP.

Going further into completing quests would allow you to level up and eventually reach level 5 where an exciting addition begins – Talent Points. Beyond level 5, you will be given a certain amount of bonus talent points for you to improve these five different aspects:

  • Core: These talents improve your character’s overall effectiveness in both body and magical aspects.
  • Dark Arts: Putting some talent points in here would increase the power of your Dark Arts spells while also adding and inflicting curse damage to your normal spells.
  • Room of Requirement: Not only will you enhance your Vivariums, but you’ll also get to improve your abilities in the Room of Requirement.
  • Spells: As the name suggests, this would boost your magic spells as well as their effectiveness and damage.
  • Stealth: These talents improve your ability to be invisible.

Furthermore, you will only be able to increase your Health Points if you level up. This means you’ll become tougher for opponents, monsters, and different threats that may come your way. And, finally, the very reason why building early on is – TO ACQUIRE MORE SPELLS, even the deadly ones. There are a few spells like ACCIO, WINGARDIUM LEVIOSA, and even AVADA KEDAVRA that you can learn by just even completing side missions. But, to do that, you’d have to be strong enough and have the right talents to complete at least one. Hence why we state our case. So, if you’re a new player, let the grind begin!

Just a tip: Go to the max level as early as you can so you can explore everything easily!

What is the max level in Hogwarts Legacy?

As of now, a wizard can only go up until level 40. Even though how much you try and whatever you do, you won’t get beyond that. Fortunately, you will be better equipped 5th-year student. You may even become the best and besting another wizard or rogue creature would be just like a walk in the park.
