What to know before you dive into finding the Sons of The Forest Katana

The katana has become a beloved weapon among fans of The Forest, as well as in its successor, Sons of the Forest. Locating the Sons of the Forest katana can be a formidable challenge, not only due to the hazards you may encounter en route.

It is also because it’s situated in an exceedingly secluded spot. The Katana is easily one of the strongest weapons throughout the whole game. And the Game itself sets itself to be one of the finest PC releases thus far.

1. Make your way to the cave entrance just east of the snow-capped mountains that dominate the center of the Sons of the Forest map. More specifically, the cave is located to the west of a large lake and is indicated on your GPS tracker by a green, pulsing marker.
2. Initially, the cave is relatively easy to navigate; simply follow the path until you encounter an opening on the floor that leads to a bunker.
   1. Once inside, take a left turn and locate a locked door at the bottom of the stairs.
      

      

   2. Employ the maintenance key to unlock the door and proceed down two additional flights of stairs until you reach a yellow door, followed by a cutscene.
   3. After the cutscene concludes, explore any open rooms along the corridor if desired, and then descend the stairs at the end of the hallway to reach Level 2.

      

3. Upon reaching Level 2 of the subterranean bunker, the Sons of the Forest katana can be discovered in the second room to your right.

Getting the Golden Armor along with it

1. Additionally, proceed to the room with water spilling from the door to retrieve the Golden Armor, which is the ultimate armor in the Sons of the Forest sandbox game. These two items combined will render you almost indestructible.
