Remnant 2: Secret Archetypes | How to Unlock

Archetypes play a crucial role in Remnant 2, greatly impacting how you experience the game. Among these Archetypes, there are several hidden ones that require specific methods to access. In this guide, we’ll explore the steps to unlock all the secret Archetypes in Remnant 2.

Remnant 2 secret Archetypes

In the world of Remnant 2, there exist six secret Archetypes:

  • Alchemist.
  • Archon.
  • Engineer.
  • Explorer.
  • Invader.
  • Summoner.

These unique Archetypes offer players exciting new ways to play and customize their characters if they manage to craft their Engrams. Are you ready to unlock all the secret Archetypes? Let’s go!

Archon Archetype

Among these secret Archetypes, the Archon stands out as the most complicated one to unlock. Unlike others, it doesn’t rely on a special item or defeating a particular enemy. Instead, players must immerse themselves in the character of Ford, an individual encountered in the early game.

  • Reach level 5 with the Invader Archetype and level 10 with the Explorer Archetype.
  • Acquire Worm Hole and Fortune Hunter skills.
  • Equip Leto’s Amulet, the Amber Moonstone ring, the Black Cat Band ring, Zania’s Malice ring, Anastija’s Inspiration ring, the Realmwalker Armor, Ford’s Scattergun, the Cube Gun, the Labyrinth Staff, and the Void Heart Relic.
  • Go to the Labyrinth once you are dressed as Ford.
  • Open the corrupted gate and obtain the Strange Box.

Summoner Archetype

The Summoner Archetype, in contrast, offers a more straightforward path.

  • Travel through Yaesha during a Blood Moon.
  • Bring 15 Blood Moon Essence, 1,500 Scrap, and 5 Lumenite Crystals.
  • Purchase the Faded Grimoire from one of the Bloodmoon Altars.
  • Go to Ward 13.
  • Exchange the Faded Grimoire into Tomb of the Bringer for 10 Lumenite Crystals and 1,000 Scrap.

Alchemist Archetype

The Alchemist Archetype, on the other hand, proves uncertain and relies on chance. Players seeking to craft the Philosopher’s Stone need to encounter a random event called Manticora from The Drain in Losomn.

  • Go to a drain within Losomn.
  • Once you are close enough, a Manticora will drag you into the sewers.
  • In multiplayer, the other players need to die to spawn in the Manticora’s lair.
  • Once inside, kill the Manticora and get the Mysterious Stone.
  • Craft the Philosopher’s Stone for 10 Lumenite Crystals and 1,000 Scraps.

Invader Archetype

  • Explore the Asylum and find three Stone-Carved Dolls.
  • Take the dolls to the Head Doctor and exchange them for the Nightweaver Stone Doll.
  • Exchange the doll to the Nightweaver’s Web for the Dreamcatcher.
  • Go to Root Earth and find the ship by the Corrupted Harbor checkpoint.
  • Activate the Escalation Protocol and swing the Dreamcatcher.
  • Once you are teleported to Twilight Valley, kill Bane.
  • Collect the Wooden Shiv from Bane.
  • Craft Serrated Root Blade to unlock the Invader Archetype.

  • Finish the main story of Remnant 2.
  • The main story is officially over after you defeat Annihilation on Root Earth.
  • Annihilation’s drops include a Broken Compass.
  • Take the Broken Compass back to Wallace, pay the usual price for Engrams, and exchange it for the Golden Compass.

Engineer Archetype

Lastly, the Engineer Archetype awaits those who can brave the toxic fog in the Drzyr’s world of N’Erud.

  • Once you find Titan’s Reach world stone, you’ll see a thick toxic fog.
  • Grab some Purified Salve before you explore this fog in order to cure the Curse status.
  • Explore the fog.
  • Find an Alien Device on the ground.
  • Deliver the device to Wallace.
  • Transform it into a Drzyr Caliper.
