Toxel, a purple Poison/Electric Pokémon, is an example of a devious Pokémon. It can evolve into one of two Toxtricity forms, so you’ll want to evolve at least two of them to finish your Pokédex. How to catch Toxel and obtain both the Amped and Low Key Forms of Toxtricity are detailed below.
Where to Catch / Get Toxel
With some Pokémon, getting them all can be difficult, especially when there are several variations or techniques to catch them in the first place.
- Toxel can be obtained in two ways. I’ll start with the easiest: If you head to Route 5 after defeating the Turffield Grass-type gym, you’ll ultimately encounter the Pokémon Nursery. To get Toxel, enter and speak with the woman on the right.
- You’ll have to catch Toxel in the old-fashioned manner if you want to have both forms in your Pokédex. He can be found at several locations around the Galar region’s Wild Area. I’ve included a map of this Pokémon’s habitats above.
Toxtricity Forms and How to Evolve
At level 30 Toxel will evolve into Toxtricity. To determine whether your Toxel will evolve to Amped or Low key will depend on its Nature.

Toxtricity has the potential to Gigantamax. You must find this Pokémon in a Pokémon Raid Den in the Wild Area in order to Gigantamax it.
