Dyes are a set of 16 items used to change the color of wool, terracotta, certain mobs, the patterns on banners, shulker boxes, glass, concrete powder, candles, beds, firework stars, and text on signs. This article brings for you how to craft all the 16 Dyes in Minecraft.
How To Craft Dyes
1. Blue Dye
To craft a Blue Dye you will require two materials i.e. Cornflower and Lapis Lazuli. You can get Cornflower from forest and plains biomes in the game. For Lapis Lazuli you will need to mine lapis lazuli ore and melt it down inside a furnace. After getting both materials just place them inside a crafting table to make blue dye.

2. Cyan Dye
All you need to do is place Blue and Green Dye in the way how we have arranged in our image below.

3. Brown Dye
To make brown dye, you will only need cocoa beans placed inside a crafting table. You can get cocoa beans from inside jungle biomes and maybe also find them growing on the trees.

4. Black Dye
So the next Dye is Black Dye. You will again require two items to make the Black Dye. The first one is Ink Sac, to get this you will need to find and kill some squids; they will be floating around in water sources like oceans. The second item is Wither Rose to get these flowers, you will need to wait until a wither kills a mob, shortly after a wither rose should drop.

5. Gray Dye
The Gray Dye can be made by combining black and white dye inside a crafting table.

6. Light Gray Dye
There are three different flowers that players can use to craft light gray dye, with those being azure bullets, white tulips, and oxeye daisies. Moreover, a combination of Gray and White Dye can also make a Light Gray Dye.

7. White Dye
Bonemeal and Lilly of the valley are the two items that should be placed inside a crafting table to make the dye.

8. Red Dye
In order to make this you can use any of the following items, Beetroot, you can get from desert and forest village farms. Rose Bush, can be found growing in the forest biome. Red Tulip can be harvested from flower forests and plains biomes. Poppy you can get it either kill golems or find them growing in most biomes.

9. Orange Dye
Again this Dye can also be crafted by combining two Dyes. place Red Dye and Yellow Dye in the crafting table to obtain the Orange Dye.

10. Yellow Dye
For the Yellow Dye, you will require one of the two flowers, Sunflower, and Dandelion. Â When you get either one, place them inside a crafting table to make a yellow dye.

11. Lime Dye
To make Lime dye, you will again need to combine two Dyes. The dyes you will need are green and white, and to make lime dye, all you need to do is place them on the crafting table.

12. Green Dye
Now for Green Dye, you will need cactus blocks; which can be found in the desert and mesa biomes. Once you get the cactus, bring it back to a furnace with some coal, and you will make green dye.

13. Light Blue Dye
To craft Light Blue Dye you will need the following items below; two are dyes, which you will need to combine together, the other is a flower. The Dyes are Blue and White Dye and the flower is Blue Orchid. Place both dyes in the crafting table to make the Dye. The flower can also be used to make the light blue dye by simply placing it inside a crafting table.

14. Purple Dye
You can simply make the Purple Dye by combining both red and blue dye in the crafting table.

15. Magenta Dye
This Dye can be crafted by combining purple dye and pink dye on a crafting table. Players, who prefer the flower route, can also convert alliums.

16. Pink Dye
Here are all of the materials you can use to make pink dye.
- Peony: These flowers spawn in most forest biomes
- Pink Tulip: All tulips can be harvested from flower forests and plains biomes.
- Red Dye
- White Dye
