On your journey as Kirby, you come across multiple bosses who try to stop you from rescuing all the Waddle Dees. But the final boss battle in the main story is the Ultimate Life-Form Fecto Elfilis. In this guide, we will teach you how to defeat the final boss in Kirby and the Forgotten Land.
Who is Fecto Elfilis?
The final boss in Kirby and the Forgotten Land’s main storyline is none other than your companion, Elfilin. It reveals its true form to you after you rescue King Dedede, and it reveals what it has been doing this entire time. Throughout your whole journey with Elfilin, it has been manipulating your enemies so that it can slowly regain its power.
Prepare for this boss battle
Before you start the boss battle against Fecto Elfilis, it’s best to know that this is one of the toughest boss battles in the game. Grab the Maximum Tomato to heal Kirby and choose from any of the copy abilities available to use. Some recommended copy abilities are Bomb, Sword, and Ranger abilities since these seem the most effective against Fecto Elfilis.
Furthermore, we recommend that you upgrade your abilities before since your DMG output will heavily rely on your Copy Ability.
Phase 1
As soon as the fight starts, Fecto Elfilis will fly up into the sky and fire projectiles while it’s in the air. What you can do to counter these attacks is to run off to the side as Fecto Elfilis launches the projectiles at you.
After it finishes firing the projectiles, you need to prepare yourself to jump as Fecto Elfilis releases a shockwave upon impact after it crashes down. Moreover, this boss can launch a triple charge attack at you too wherein Fecto Elfilis goes up into the sky and suddenly charges down twice. As it does this, their spear will stab the ground and tear a poisonous trench across the ground so slide off to the side to avoid getting damaged.
Another attack from Fecto Elfilis is the AoE rings it deploys. You can collect the stars every time you successfully jump so be sure to use these stars to attack the boss.
Phase 2
You’ll know you are entering Phase 2 of this boss battle once the sky above changes color. After this occurs, Fecto Elfilis immediately opens up a wormhole that it will use to throw meteors at you. The shadow of each meteor indicates where it will land, so run away from these shadows to avoid getting hurt. Following this attack, Fecto Elfilis will launch its triple charge attack again so be on guard.
For you to do damage in this phase, wait until Fecto Elfilis splits into three, two of which are its clones. Look for the real Fecto Elfilis and attack it as much as you can. After bringing down its health, there will be a quick time event where you have to use Kirby’s Mouthful Mode.
Final Phase
After turning into the Kirby Big Rig, you have to speed your way across falling skyscrapers to catch up with Fecto Elfilis. Avoid the yellow areas and make sure to press down on the boost button to finish this boss battle.
