Today, our Valheim guide heads are focused on locating, summoning, and defeating Bonemass, the swamp’s viscous mass that is the third boss encounter. All of the requirements, as well as tips and advice for dealing with it, are listed below!
Location
To get to Bonemass and face him, we need to figure out his exact location, and even though we know he’s in the swamp, we need to figure out where his altar is.
- Kill the Elder.
- The Elder will drop the key you need to open the Crypt.
- With this key, we can enter the swamp’s crypts!
- Here, you’ll discover the withered bones that will summon the boss, as well as the runestones that will indicate his location.
Summoning Bonemass
- Collect 10 Withered Bones from the Crypts.
- Once you’ve gotten Bonemass’ location, you’ll need to go to his spot with 10 Withered Bones. Toss them into the poison pool to summon the game’s third boss.
- Keep your eyes peeled because things are about to get challenging!
Defeating Bonemass Tips
- Bonemass tactics rely on discharging clouds of poison and enemies in order to overpower you and kill you.
- Furthermore, arrows and cutting weapons have little effect on him, so he’ll need to invest in a good iron mace to finish him off quickly.
- You’ll need to get near him to attack without stopping, so make sure you’re well-fed and have some honey on hand to boost your poison resistance.
- You’ll see him fall if you have perseverance and concentrate your attack to try to ventilate baddies while also damaging him!
