How to obtain Light Cones from the Battle Pass

To obtain one of the seven 4-star Honkai: Star Rail battle pass Light Cones, players need to purchase either the Nameless Glory or the Nameless Medal track of the battle pass. They then need to complete the daily, weekly, and periodic missions to reach level 30 in the battle pass. This rewards them with a Treasure of the Starry Seas, which in turn allows them to obtain one of the seven Light Cones.
Best Honkai: Star Rail Battle Pass Light Cone
We believe that Carve the Moon, Weave the Clouds stands out as the top Light Cone available in the Honkai Star Rail Battle Pass. It has gained immense popularity among players due to its remarkable versatility.
- In Honkai: Star Rail, every formidable team typically includes either Bronya or Tingyun, both of whom are exceptional characters following the path of Harmony.
- Consequently, they synergize exceptionally well with the Light Cone.
The buffs granted by Carve the Moon, Weave the Clouds greatly enhance the team’s main DPS (Damage Per Second). What makes this Light Cone truly outstanding is its passive activation, eliminating the need for specific character actions.
- This feature proves advantageous in terms of skill point efficiency. Furthermore, the support’s speed plays a crucial role in cycling through the buffs effortlessly.
- A higher speed enables quicker rotation, while a lower speed prolongs the duration of a single buff. This flexibility empowers players to select an optimal speed for their support units, depending on their desired duration for the buffs.
All Honkai: Star Rail Battle Pass Light Cones Ranked

Based on their ability, use case, compatible characters, longevity, and susceptibility to power creep, we have compiled a ranking of the Light Cones offered in Honkai Star Rail’s Battle Pass.
- Carve the Moon, Weave the Clouds
As discussed earlier, Carve the Moon, Weave the Clouds is the best Light Cone obtainable from the Honkai: Star Rail battle pass. What makes this Light Cone so great besides its abilities is that it is a Harmony Light Cone.- Two of the best characters in the game, Bronya and Tingyun, are Harmony characters.
- The Light Cone may also be used on Asta and Yukong (to be released in 1.1) by players without Bronya or Tingyun.
- Return to Darkness
Return to Darkness is the second-best Light Cone in the Battle Pass. Having said that, it is definitely far worse than Carve the Moon, Weave the Clouds.- However, for players building TWO Hunt units for their two Memory of Chaos teams, Return to Darkness proves to be a great Light Cone to have.
- This should only be bought if the player has already bought and is using Cruising in the Stellar Sea Light Cone from Herta’s Shop.
- This Light Cone is compatible with Seele, Yanqing, Sushang, and Dan Heng.
- Today is Another Peaceful Day
Again, this Battle Pass Light Cone is exponentially worse than the previous Light Cone. However, if you are lacking a decent Light Cone for your Erudition units, Today is Another Peaceful Day is a decent Light Cone.- However, the ability of the Light Cone is a bit problematic, as the DMG increases by 0.2% per point of Energy, up to 160 Energy.
- The issue with this is that you would probably want to use your Ultimates as soon as you have them on your Erudition characters for maximum damage, which makes the DMG increase very inconsistent.
- Nowhere to Run
This is another decent Honkai: Star Rail Battle Pass Light Cone. The ATK increase is definitely a bonus and provides additional sustain to the destruction characters due to its HP restoration.- However, it is not a Light Cone you can use on Arlan because he thrives on low HP.
- The sustain is also not very important because teams usually contain a tank and/or a healer.
- Warmth Shortens Cold Nights
Warmth Shortens Cold Nights is next on the list. Bailu and Natasha are the only units compatible with this Light Cone. The Light Cone is, frankly, quite bad.- Healers usually have a low speed, so you don’t get to proc the heal due to Basic ATK or Skill a lot. Every turn, you will only proc it once.
- This is Me!
The list gets worse. This is Me! is a weird Light Cone. It increases the DMG of a Preservation unit’s Ultimate. The issue with this is that players usually do not keep Preservation units to deal damage.- The DEF increase is also not much compared to other 4-star Light Cones. This Light Cone is also only usable on Fire Trailblazer and March 7th.
- The best Preservation unit in the game, Gepard’s Ultimate, does not even deal damage, rendering this Light Cone totally useless on him.
- Moreover, future Preservation units have a higher chance to have Ultimates that buff the team instead of dealing damage to enemies, which will probably render the Light Cone useless.
- We Will Meet Again
We Will Meet Again is by far the worst Light Cone obtainable from the Honkai: Star Rail Battle Pass. The Light Cone deals 48% ATK as an additional DMG to a random enemy that is attacked by abilities after the wearer uses Basic ATK or Skill.- The issue with this is that most Nihility characters will not have a high ATK stat because these units are usually focused on debuffing enemies.
Trivia: This Light Cone features Silver Wolf and Screwllum in its cover art facing against each other. Screwllum eventually defeats Silver Wolf and parts ways with his iconic line, “Time to sleep. Organic lifeforms should treasure rest.”
Conclusion
In conclusion, Carve the Moon, Weave the Clouds emerges as the ultimate Light Cone available in the Honkai Star Rail Battle Pass, capturing the hearts of players with its exceptional features. However, every player’s account and playstyle are very different, and the Light Cone should be chosen with utmost caution in accordance with their playstyle.
