From cinema to gaming, one thing which makes a character popular inside the narrative is bounty hunting. Genshin Impact is no stranger to that concept as the more bounties you hunt, the more fame and rewards you gain. So, here’s an elaborate guide that will help you make the most out of the game’s bounty hunting experience.
Prerequisites
You are provided with 3 bounties every week which help you gain ora, as well as reputation points. But to be eligible for bounty hunting first you need to reach Adventurer Rank 25, complete Archon Quest Prologue, Act 1 as well as Archon Quest Chapter 1, Act 2. Once you fulfill these requirements, you can accept bounty hunting missions.
The Bounties
Now let’s look at the types of bounties and the rewards you can seek from them:
- Three-star bounties are where you need to defeat a three-star opponent and if successful, you’ll be rewarded 60 reputation points
- Four-star bounties are where you need to defeat a four-star opponent and if successful, you’ll be rewarded 80 reputation points
- Five-star bounties are where you need to defeat a five-star opponent and if successful, you’ll be rewarded 100 reputation points
You can find bounties in two cities, Mondstadt and Liyue, and can accept up to 3 of them per week.
How to accept them?
To find the bounties, you have to talk to Hertha in Mondstadt or Ms. Yu in Liyue, who will guide you further. Now follow the given steps:
- Open the city reputation screen and click on the bounties option to reveal the available quests
- You’ll see 3-star, 4-star, and 5-star bounties as mentioned above in the article
- Click on them to see the details and if you want to pursue the bounty, click on “Accept Bounty”, or move on to the next one.
- Well, now the hunt is on! You’ll have to finish it and only then you can choose another one
Let the hunt begin!
Now it’s time to track your bounty and we are here to help you with it! After accepting the bounty you’ll need to locate the monster/creature’s stomping ground.
- All you have to do is to head towards the highlighted area in the map and once you enter the creature’s territory, a timer of 10 minutes begins. You’ll have to find and defeat that particular creature within those 10 minutes for a successful hunt.
For the bounty to spawn, you’ll first need to use your character’s Elemental Sight to find 3 signs of the creature’s presence. It sounds complicated but it is quite simple! You just need to follow the blue trails and when you get near a sign, it’ll light up. Find all 3 signs and the opponent will spawn but what follows next, is the most difficult part.
It’s Time to Fight
Depending on the level of bounty, you’ll be presented with a strong or stronger creature to fight. That’s right, it will be strong anyway and a whole lot tougher to defeat than your normal opponents. So, here are a few tips you can keep in mind while going toe to toe with your foe.
- Food up!
- Don’t face tank a rocket barrage from a Ruin Hunter
- Try to play to the creature’s weakness
- Keep an eye on your time limit. It was just 10 minutes, remember?
- Do not waste too much time in tracking
- Even if you fail, you can start at the beginning of the hunt and will lose nothing but time
Defeated your opponent? Congrats, the hard part is over and now you just need to head back and collect your rewards from Hertha or Ms. Yu.
