One of the interesting weapons in Genshin Impact is the Black Sword, a 4-star rated weapon. Sadly, only players who pay for this weapon will be able to access it. This Black Sword is quite strong for a weapon that is possessed by DPS characters like that of Keqing.
To unlock the Black Sword, players will need to purchase the Battle Pass and then make it up to Level 30. Once the player has reached this level, they will get to choose from five battle pass weapons options; there would be a total of five battle weapons in all which translates into one for each type of weapon.
The Stats of the Black Sword
- Rarity: 4-star
- ATK: 42 at Level 1, 510 at Level 90
- Secondary Stat: Crit Rate%
- Secondary Stat level: 6% at Level 1, 27.6% at Level 90
- Passive: Justice: Increases DMG dealt by Normal and Charged Attacks by 20%. Additionally, regenerates 60% of ATK as HP when Normal and Charged Attacks score a CRIT Hit. This effect can occur once every 5s.”
To level up the Battle Pass, players will have to compete in special missions daily or even weekly. In order to level up, the player would require a minimum of 1,000 EXP. Obtaining this much EXP would not be difficult if players consistently compete in mission for three to four weeks in a row.

Is It Worth It?
- The question now arises, ‘is this Black Sword of any good?’ Well, to begin with, the Black Sword does show great potential value for its passive and Critical Rate Percentage stats.
- Hence, it would be safe to say that it is indeed a great weapon to build for characters who usually deal with a great amount of damage. That being said, the amount of characters that actually really use this weapon is quite low, at the moment.
- Cryo characters such as Kaeya or Ayaka usually refrain from using this weapon due to their greater access to Critical Rate through the Cryo artifacts and elements.
- There are also other sword characters such as Bennett, Xingqiu, or Kahua who would tend to prefer Energy Recharge any day over Crit Rate. This results in only Keqing requiring the Black Sword. While this is a great and mighty fine weapon for her, until more sword characters are released, the Black Sword is very limited.
