Genshin Impact features a lot of materials that can be harvested from the game’s vast open-world. One of these materials is Horsetail. Read on to find out about Horsetail location and where to find them in Genshin Impact.
What is Horsetail in Genshin Impact?
As of writing, there are no characters or weapons requiring Horsetail to ascend. However, the use of Horsetail is sometimes for events in Genshin Impact.

Horsetail Location – Where to Find
If you’re farming for Horsetail in Genshin Impact, they’re commonly found in Dihua Marsh. Additionally, they are found in patches of Silvergrass and wetlands.
Horsetail Locations Overview
Here is an overview of the locations of each Horsetail in Genshin Impact. Most Horsetail are found in the vicinity of Dihua Marsh.
However, there are three Horsetail in Guili Plains. To get here, use the teleport waypoint there and head north until you arrive at the bridge. There should be Horsetail on either side of the bridge.

Location #1
Before farming in Dihua Marsh, we suggest getting the first lone Horsetail north of Stone Gate. To get there, use this Teleport Waypoint.
Then, make your way north until you arrive at this area.
There is one Horsetail here which is better to be farmed first since it’s out of the way from the other Horsetail locations. After getting it, use the Teleport Waypoint again if you don’t want to run all the way back near Stone Gate.
Location #2
From the Teleport Waypoint, jump down into the Silvergrass and you’ll find this lone Horsetail standing out.
Locations #3-6
Run along the shore and you can instantly get four Horsetail.
Locations #7-8
After the previous location, keep following the shoreline until you’re almost at the stone bridge. Here, you can get two Horsetail.
Locations #9-10
Then, head over to the other side of the bridge until you see a large patch of Silvergrass. You can get two Horsetail from this area.
Location #11
Head right while still following the patches of Silvergrass. This Horsetail is near an NPC.
Locations #12-13
From your previous location, make your way across the lake to this marsh. At this location, there are two Horsetail near the Silvergrass.

Location #14
Then, head back near the stone bridge. There should be one Horsetail growing beside it.
Location #15-17
For this, you need to head to the other side of the stone bridge and swim to this marsh. Here are the first two Horsetail you can farm from this location.
After collecting the two Horsetail, follow the Silvergrass again and you will see the third Horsetail in this area.
Location #18-20
To instantly get three Horsetail, cross the water again and you will find three Horsetail in this location. They grow near each other so you won’t have to look too far for these.
Location #21
Use the Statue of the Seven located in Dihua Marsh to quickly get to this area. You’ll immediately find a Horsetail near the Statue.
Location #22
From the Statue of the Seven, head south and look for the Horsetail in the Silvergrass growing near the water.
Locations #23-25
After getting the previous Horsetail, head to the other end of the bridge and look for the Silvergrass again. You’ll find the first Horsetail near a Hilichurl camp.
Then, continue north and you’ll see another Horsetail. A Hilichurl tower is near this one.
For the last Horsetail in the area, turn around. It is growing near the path.
Location #26
Head back to the bridge but don’t cross it. Head over to the water where you’ll see some more Silvergrass to get this Horsetail.
Location #27
And for the last three Horsetail you can get in Genshin Impact, use the Teleport Waypoint pictures below. Once you’re there, head north until you come across the wooden bridge.
This Horsetail is hidden in plain sight since it blends in well with the Silvergrass. But if you look for the streak of purple, just approach it and you’ll get your Horsetail.
Location #28-29
Finally, the last two Horsetail are on the other side of the bridge. They’re also hidden in the overgrowth of Silvergrass. However, they’re placed near each other so you won’t have a hard time finding them.
There are a total of 29 Horsetail which can be farmed in Genshin Impact. But if you’re looking for other ways to get Horsetail, you can purchase them from Bubu Pharmacy or grow them in your Serenitea Pot.
