After future updates of Genshin Impact ran into a couple of problems, we’re finally back on track as HoYoverse plans to stick to the original update schedules. In version 2.8, Travelers will meet Shikanoin Heizou. If you’re planning on pulling for him, here is Heizou’s talent materials farm guide.
When is Shikanoin Heizou arriving in Genshin Impact?
Heizou will arrive in Genshin Impact for their 2.8 update. If we follow the pattern of HoYoverse releasing updates for the game, version 2.8 is expected to arrive on July 13, 2022. Additionally, Kaedehara Kazuha is rumored to have a rerun for Genshin Impact 2.8. This means we’ll be getting two Anemo characters for the 2.8 update.
Who is Heizou?
Shikanoin Heizou is a detective working under the Tenryou Commission. From the voice lines of Inazuman characters, they have mixed impressions towards Heizou. According to Thoma, the detective is “not the easiest person to get along with.” Sango, another detective in Inazuma, makes it clear that there is bad blood between them.
As for Kujou Sara, she is not fond of his unruly and rebellious behavior. Nonetheless, they still keep him at the Tenryou Commission since despite his attitude, he is an efficient detective. Additionally, Kamisato Ayato remarked that Heizou is a brilliant investigator.
We’ll get to know more about him once he is officially introduced in the game.

Talent Level Up Materials
Insignias
- 18 Recruit’s Insignia
- 66 Sergeant’s Insignia
- 93 Lieutenant’s Insignia
Transcience Series
To level up Shikanoin Heizou’s talents, Travelers also need the Transcience Series. These can be farmed from the Violet Court domain in Inazuma every Monday, Thursday, and Sunday.
Additionally, you need the following number of level-up materials to max out his Talents:
- 9 Teachings of Transience
- 63 Guide to Transience
- 114 Philosophies of Transience
The Meaning of Aeos
For the boss drops needed to level up Heizou’s talents, Travelers should challenge the Raiden Shogun weekly boss to obtain this special Talent Level-up material. To get to her domain, look for it underneath the Grand Narukami Shrine. However, you must first finish Raiden Shogun’s Story Quest Act 2 to gain access to this domain.
Heizou needs 18 Meaning of Aeos so his talents can be maxed out.
Mora
Similar to leveling up the Talents of other Genshin Impact characters, Travelers need almost 5,000,000 Mora to get Heizou’s Talents to Lvl. 10.

Ascension Materials
Vayuda Turquoise (Anemo Gemstones)
These gemstones are rewards for defeating Anemo bosses around Teyvat. If you want to focus on farming around Inazuma, these can be obtained as rewards after defeating the Maguu Kenki. However, these gems can also be farmed from the Stormterror weekly boss fight and the Anemo Hypostasis.
Heizou needs the following number of Anemo Gemstones:
- 1x Vayuda Turquoise Sliver
- 3x Vayuda Turquoise Fragment
- 6x Vayuda Turquoise Fragment
- 3x Vayuda Turquoise Chunk
- 6x Vayuda Turquoise Chunk
- 6x Vayuda Turquoise Gemstone
Insignias
- 18x Treasure Hoarder Insignia
- 30x Silver Raven Insignia
- 36x Golden Raven Insignia
Onikabuto
To find these insects, look for them on the trees in Inazuma.
- 168x Onikabuto
Runic Fangs
These are boss drops from the Ruin Serpent boss in The Chasm.
- 46x Runic Fangs
Mora
To fully ascend Heizou, Travelers need 420,000 Mora to get him to Lvl. 90.
