Austin Reaves drops first signature shoe AR1 “Ice Cream” Edition | Where to buy + Price

Austin Reaves Rigorer AR1 Ice Cream Edition

Only a select few had the honor of getting a signature shoe and one of them is the Los Angeles Lakers rising star, Austin Reaves. Last month, Reaves signed a 7-figure deal with Chinese sneaker brand Rigorer which would allow him to boast his signature shoe AR1 at the beginning of the 2023-2024 NBA season. But, fans of Reaves will be graced with his first signature shoe on an earlier date and in a much better look. Introducing, the Rigorer AR1 “Ice Cream” Edition. If you are wondering how and when you can get one, then we just have the guide for you.

Austin Reaves’ first signature is looking fresh and is perfect for the summer!

Back in April, we got the first look at Austin Reaves’ Rigorer AR1 shoe which is slated to be released next season. In just his second year, the 25-year-old has achieved great things including becoming a star despite being undrafted in 2021. Recently, he signed a multi-year deal with Rigorer, which includes a signature basketball sneaker he can wear on the court. Would you believe he got a shoe before Anthony Davis? Impressive, ain’t it? His AR1 featured Los Angeles Lakers colorway (purple, gold, and black). Plus, it will also feature Reaves’ signature logo, a reticle of a firearm, which reflects his gun nickname “AR-15”.

But, sneaker buds will get to wear the AR1 before the commencement of the 2023-2024 season but with a different design. Reaves’ signature shoe AR1 will be coming in an “Ice Cream” edition, based on everyone’s favorite summer treat. The colorway will be true to the vanilla and strawberry ice cream flavor, perfect for the summer.

“From growing up in Arkansas and being undrafted to now having my own signature shoe, this is a surreal moment for me,” Reaves said. “Working closely with the design team, the AR1 is all about maximizing performance and efficiency on the court. The AR1 not only matches my all-around game but is also adaptable to all players”. The young guard added.

When and where can you buy the AR1 “Ice Cream” Edition?

The AR1 “Ice Cream” will come out on August 11, 2023, at 12 PM EDT (Eastern Daylight Time). You can purchase your own pair exclusively from Kicks Crew or directly from Rigorer. However, you have to be quick since a lot of people are already eyeing the said sneaker line. According to Rigorer, only 2000 pairs were made so you have to keep a close eye on these shoes!

How much will it cost?

Previously, we learned that the Austin Reaves’ AR1 shoes will be retailed at around $90 to $100 from Rigorer. Fortunately, the cool AR1 in Ice Cream colorway will be priced the same, at exactly $100. Austin Reaves will join an elite list of NBA stars who signed with a Chinese shoe brand such as Dwyane Wade (Li-Ning), Klay Thompson (Anta), Kyrie Irving (Anta), and Aaron Gordon (361 Degrees).
