It’s already been a decade and fans have been wanting to see and play the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto sequel, GTA 6, which is roughly 10 years in the making. Now that Rockstar just released the much-awaited trailer, fans are loving every single minute of GTA 6 trailer 1.
Rockstar’s GTA 6 trailer manages to acquire 10 million likes just after two days
Rockstar dropped the first trailer of GTA 6 on December 5, 2023, at exactly 9 a.m. (Eastern Standard Time), but it’s already out there breaking tons of records. One of its biggest feats so far is reaching 100 million views in about 24 hours, even faster than Mr. Beasts’ Squid Game challenge video. Moreover, GTA 6’s trailer is the biggest and most anticipated video game reveal video that already has the most views and likes in gaming history.

Now, in just two days, the teaser trailer already managed to enamor its fans as it received an unfathomable amount of likes, 10 million to be exact. Although it’s far away from the most liked videos on YouTube yet, considering how the trailer for GTA 6 performed on YouTube and broke the internet speaks a lot of volumes. As of this writing, the 1-minute 30-second video now has 121,919,636 views and 10,000,086 likes in just the second day.
So far, the GTA 6 trailer 1 has already secured the following Guinness Book of World Records titles which are:
- Most viewed videogame reveal on YouTube in 24 hours
- Most liked videogame trailer on YouTube with more than 9 million likes
- Most viewed non-music video on YouTube in 24 hours
GTA 6 trailer just hit 100 million views and broke 3 Guinness World Records for:
1) Most viewed videogame reveal on YouTube in 24 hours.
2) Most liked videogame trailer on YouTube with 9.2 million likes and 260k dislikes.

GTA 6 trailer could join the elite list of the “top 10 most liked YouTube videos” in just a span of days
After just 10 minutes of being dropped, the GTA 6 trailer was already viewed millions of times and immediately had 1 million likes. Basically, the video broke the internet and it also broke YouTube’s views and like counter. At this rating, getting 10 million likes in 2 days, the reveal video could probably join the list of “most liked YouTube videos of all time”.
However, even if it reaches 20 million likes this month, it’s still far from even the top 20 which is BLACKPINK‘s How You Like That, a KPop song that already has more than 24 million likes. Regardless, Grand Theft Auto fans will push their limits and the trailer will ultimately get there!
