GRID Will Need A 100 GB Of Disk Space

Announced last May, GRID, the great absentee of the eighth generation, plans its return on October 11 on PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One. But before that, PC players have to go through their machine to find out if the next Codemasters game will work properly.

Although the series GRID has been absent for a while, Codemasters, the studio developer, has not been idle in recent years and this can be seen clearly. Indeed GRID shares with F1 2019 and DiRT Rally 2 (the last two games of Codemasters) common points for the required configurations. The minimum, with the exception of a graphics card model, is the same, as well as the recommended configuration.

Variations for the latter are to be observed on the processor and graphics cards. This is not surprising, F1 2019 opting for more computing power by the processor, due mainly to the numbers of opponents and its simulation factors and less visual effects than DiRT Rally 2 and GRID that accentuate the special effects by leaving aside the simulation calculations. Finally, it remains substantially the same configurations, but under DirectX 12.

Minimum configuration:

  • OS: Windows 10 (64-bit)
  • Processor: Intel i3 2130 / AMD FX4300
  • RAM: 8 GB
  • Graphics Card: Nvidia GT 640 / HD7750
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Disk Space: 100 GB

Required configuration:

  • OS: Windows 10 (64-bit)
  • Processor: Intel I5 8600K / AMD Ryzen 5 2600x
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • Graphics Card: Nvidia GTX 1080 / RX 590
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Disk Space: 100 GB

As a reminder, GRID is expected on the starting line from October 11 on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
