However, residents of Alabama and Nebraska must be at least 19 years old, while those in Mississippi need to be 21 or above. This restriction ensures that contestants are legally allowed to make such a significant decision.

Changing a name legally is not exactly a walk in the park. There’s a lot of red tape involved, and the legal process could sometimes be costly. But Subway promises to reimburse these costs for the winner and pay for their name change’s legal and processing fees.

Bear in mind that Subway has not explicitly mentioned multiple winners for this contest, as they seem to promote only one lucky winner who will get free sandwiches for life. 

Previous ‘lifetime subs’ offer from Subway

Surprisingly, this isn’t the first time Subway has offered to reward its loyal customers with free subs for life. In the recent past, they ran a similar campaign where a customer named James Kunz won a lifetime supply of subs. 

In order to win it, Kunz got a foot-long baseball jersey-themed Subway Series logo tattoo on his body. Other participants who got smaller tattoos got smaller prizes.
