Every Genshin Impact update is bound to bring adjustments to one or two characters. So in the latest update, Yae Miko went through some changes with her skillset. But even though travelers expected a buff for Lady Guuji, they received a nerf on her Elemental Skill.
Yae Miko’s adjustment is a nerf in the current update
When Yae Miko first came out in the previous 2.5 update, travelers were quick to let HoYoverse know that her Elemental Skill’s targeting system needed improvement. But contrary to what both the travelers and HoYoverse wanted, Yae Miko’s Elemental Skill is actually nerfed.
As of writing, Genshin Impact has issued a statement of apology for the unintentional nerfing. Although they planned on improving Yae Miko’s combat performance, it completely backfired. If you cast her Yakan Evocation: Sesshou Sakura, it attacks the nearest target instead of a random enemy.
Genshin Impact will ‘rollback’ the change to Yae Miko’s targeting skill
After countless feedback from the Genshin Impact community, HoYoverse announced a rollback on the Elemental Skill in question. If you’re wondering why this is such a huge deal for players, the change to Yae Miko essentially made her useless in applying Electro DMG to multiple enemies. Moreover, those who have the Chief Priestess at C1 above complained that the change made her constellations useless.

On April 6, the targeting system will get rolled back
But thank the Archons that these complaints did not fall on deaf ears. A small update will go live on April 6, Wednesday where the adjustments to Yae Miko will rollback. Additionally, Genshin Impact will give 100 Primogems to travelers as compensation. The Primogems are redeemable after the update goes live this Wednesday.
What do you think about these changes? Was it an unnecessary nerfing? We’d love to hear from you in the comments below. For more content, stay with us, here at Spiel Times. Â
