For the Chasm Delvers questline, there are eight quests you have to complete. Throughout the sub-quests, you uncover more of the underground area of The Chasm. In this guide, we will walk you through how to complete one of Genshin Impact’s world quests: Meeting New People… and Foiling Some Bandits.
How to unlock Meeting New People… and Foiling Some Bandits
Right after finishing Chasm Spelunkers, talk to Zhiqiong to get this quest. She asks you to accompany her in checking out two locations of interest in the underground area of The Chasm.
Moreover, you’ll get another quest aside from Meeting New People… and Foiling Some Bandits. The other quest is called First Miasmic Contact and you can check out our guide for that Genshin Impact quest here.
Meeting New People… and Foiling Some Bandits quest location
To start this quest, open up your quest log and look for the Chasm Delvers category. Then, start tracking this quest and it will show a marked location on your map.
First, you “Go to the campsite that has been occupied by the Treasure Hoarders” where you’ll fight against some enemies. After dealing with the enemies, you’ll see someone locked in a cage asking for your help.

At this point, approach the cage and interact with it to set the prisoner free. Wait for the dialogue between Zhiqiong and Clitopho to finish before you’re heading to the second campsite. Just like you did previously, clear the camp from enemies and you’ll be prompted to investigate the nearby cannon.
Afterwards, make your way to the locked storehouse and wait until a cutscene triggers. Zhiqiong and Clitopho will argue before deciding to leave since the gate requires two keys.
Meeting New People… and Foiling Some Bandits quest rewards
After the cutscene with Zhiqiong and Clitopho, the quest automatically ends. Travelers get 200 EXP, 30 Primogems, 2 Hero’s Wit, and 20,000 Mora upon completion.
