Genshin Impact is a gacha game best known for its limited-time banners where players can get both old and new characters. Here are the current, upcoming, and permanent banners for Genshin Impact’s 2.7 update.
What are banners?
Genshin Impact banners are also known as the Wish system. To get limited-time characters as well as weapons, players need to wish on these banners. However, these banners usually reset with every version update Genshin Impact releases. Moreover, each version lasts for around 6 weeks before the banners restart.
Here are the current, upcoming, and permanent banners in Genshin Impact.

Current Banners in Genshin Impact
The current banner is The Heron’s Court. This is a rerun for Kamisato Ayaka whose banner went live again after both phases of Version 2.6 ended. It will be available until Version 2.7 goes live on May 31 for all regions.
As for the weapon banner, it features the 5-star sword, Mistsplitter Reforged. Moreover, 5-star claymore The Unforged is also obtainable through the weapon banner.
Upcoming Banners in Genshin Impact
The upcoming banners will feature both a new and an old character. Discerner of Enigmas features Yelan, the new 5-star Hydro bow user in the game. As for the returning banner in version 2.7, Xiao will have his rerun. His banner is called the Invitation to Mundane Life.
Both banners for Yelan and Xiao will go live on May 31, 2022. And for the weapon banner accompanying Xiao and Yelan, features the 5-star bow Aqua Simulacra and the 5-star spear Primordial Jade Winged-Spear. If you plan on getting Yelan and Xiao, you should also set aside enough Primogems to get their BiS weapons.
After three weeks, phase II of the 2.7 update will feature Arataki Itto’s rerun, Oni’s Royale. However, a new 4-star Electro healer will be joining Itto. The deputy chief of the Arataki Gang, Kuki Shinobu will be obtainable by wishing on Itto’s banner.

Permanent Banners in Genshin Impact
The permanent banner features 5-star characters Keqing, Qiqi, and Mona among others. However, they can also be obtained when wishing on the limited-time banner. But it’s highly recommended for players to save up on their Primogems to wish on the limited-time banners.
If you plan on wishing on the Standard Wish banner, only use any Acquaint Fates you get. Additionally, all 4-star characters are obtainable through this banner. But if you want to get new 4-star characters like Kuki Shinobu, you have to wait for another patch before she is added to the pool of 4-star characters in the Standard Wish banner.
The 5-star characters players can pull through the Standard Wish banner are:
- Diluc
- Jean
- Keqing
- Mona
- Qiqi
