Genshin Impact 3.4 Best Alhaitham Build + Materials Is he worth it - Cover

The latest update in Genshin Impact just dropped and 3.4 is loaded with new content for Travelers to enjoy. Aside from the much-awaited Lantern Rite celebration, there are new characters coming with the update. In Genshin Impact 3.4, Travelers can finally pull for the broody scribe of the Sumeru Akademiya. If you’re wondering if he’s worth it, we have included the best build and materials you will need for Alhaitham as well. Keep reading to find out more!

First and foremost, you should always remember that Alhaitham will fit the DPS role on your team. With that being said, the best Alhaitham build will only be possible if you have the appropriate weapon and artifact sets for him. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6XbHqN8Cs60

Best Weapon for Alhaitham

The best weapon you can equip Alhaitham with is his signature weapon. It was released alongside the newest 5-star Dendro character for Genshin Impact 3.4. Light of Foliar Sanction is Alhaitham’s BiS but you will need enough Primogems to pull for it, so it’s not a good option for F2P players.

Here are some of the alternatives you can use for Alhaitham:

  • Primordial Jade Cutter
  • Mistsplitter Reforged
  • Haran Geppaku Futsu
  • Toukabou Shigure
  • Xiphos’ Moonlight
  • TheBlack Sword (R5)
  • Iron Sting (R5)
  • Harbinger of Dawn

The Iron Sting is the best option for F2P players since you just need to craft it with the help of the Blacksmiths found in Teyvat. Make sure to get it to R5 if you want to unleash its full potential once equipped on Alhaitham.

Artifacts

As for the best Artifacts you can give to Alhaitham, there are four sets you can choose from. However, we highly recommend giving him Artifacts from the Gilded Dreams set. The reason for this is that it will increase Alhaitham’s Elemental Mastery. When he has four pieces from this set equipped, Alhaitham receives buffs depending on his team’s Elements. With that being said, it’s important to pair him with another Dendro character but we’ll get to that later. Here are the artifact stats you should look for when farming the Gilded Dreams set:

  • Elemental Mastery
  • Dendro DMG Bonus
  • CRIT Rate
  • CRIT DMG
  • Energy Recharge
  • ATK %

If you can’t farm the perfect artifacts from the Gilded Dreams set, here are alternative sets you can use on Alhaitham:

  • Deepwood Memories
  • 2 pc. Gilded Dreams, 2 pc. Wanderer

Team Comp

Since you will be using Alhaitham as your team’s main DPS, you need to come up with the perfect Elemental Reactions. Now that Dendro is a playable Element in Genshin Impact, you can create various reactions with the right characters.

One of our recommended reactions is Spread and Hyperbloom. The right team for this is Alhaitham, Nahida, Xingqiu, and Kuki Shinobu. Both Alhaitham and Nahida will provide Dendro for the two other characters, making it easier to create reactions while in battle. If you’re looking for other reactions like Burgeon, Spread, and Quicken/Hyperbloom, check out the other Alhaitham team comps below:

Remember that it’s important for Alhaitham to have another Dendro character in his team comp. The other Dendro character is recommended to have the Deepwood Memories set equipped so you can boost their Elemental stats.

Ascension Materials

To level up and ascend Alhaitham to Level 90, you will need the following:

  • 420,000 Mora
  • 1x Nagadus Emerald Silver
  • 9x Nagadus Emerald Fragment
  • 9x Nagadus Emerald Chunk
  • 6x Nagadus Emerald Gemstone
  • 18x Faded Red Satin
  • 18x Trimmed Red Silk
  • 36x Rich Red Brocade
  • 168x Sand Grease Pupa
  • 46x Pseudo-Stamens

Is Alhaitham worth it?

Speaking honestly, Alhaitham is a very difficult character to master. You may have to think twice and thrice before pulling for Alhaitham in Genshin Impact 3.4. His overall design and gameplay are pretty neat but since he is Dendro, you’ll have to consider a lot of factors to make sure you’re using him well.

Infusions play a big part if you decide to include Alhaitham on your team. Although you have all the freedom to pair him with your favorite characters, you may not get the reactions you want when fighting off enemies in the vast world of Teyvat. With that, you need infusion characters on your team to make it work. If you’re the type of player who follows the meta, Alhaitham is a good pull.

Otherwise, you’re better off saving your Primogems especially since Hu Tao and Yelan are getting reruns in the second phase of Genshin Impact 3.4. Is Alhaitham worth it? Yes and no. In our opinion, it will take a while for players to fully master his playstyle but if you’re up for the challenge, it will produce great results.
