Initially, no players were able to play or some errors were popping up as they tried to log in. Such traffic can only be explained due to all players attempting to log in at the same time. Epic Games confirmed that this was going to be the biggest season launch in the history of Fortnite.
- Almost all the fans of Fortnite were ecstatic to know that Fortnite chapter 3 season 1 would soon be out for launch on a Sunday rather than the scheduled plan of Epic Games to launch it on Tuesday, 7th December.
- This chapter was to be made available for players to play at 10 AM. However, due to unavoidable technical difficulties and numerous errors, the servers were unable to start at the scheduled time.
To avoid overcrowding and traffic, Epic came up with a solution of adding a queue that players will require to pass to drop into the latest map. But soon many issues plagued this solution soon after the countdown ended. Players were unable to log in to the game and repeatedly they were asked to restart the game.
This queue issue and error workaround are now resolved, players should be able to jump in and check out the new island.

Epic Games announced there are no longer any wait and queue difficulties. Everyone is free to join online and enjoy everything the new chapter has to offer. However, gamers are now encountering a blank white screen.
Why is the Fortnite screen white on Switch, Xbox, and PS4?
- On Sunday, December 5th, 2021, players discovered a white screen problem and were perplexed as to why their screen was white. This occurred for the first time when players entered into the game and the cut scene was playing.
- More gamers are now witnessing the same problem. There is no particular reason why the screen goes white; it appears that this is related to the client/game rather than the server.
The appearance of the white screen is consistent on Nintendo Switch the most but players of Xbox and PS4 are also facing the same issue.
How to Fix It?
- There are a few ways to fix the problem of a white screen. The first way is to wait out for ten minutes and see if you can load into the game. If you cannot log in then you can restart your game and try again. This would mean that there won’t be any queue for players to wait in.
- Epic Games tweeted and acknowledged this rampant problem. They stated that they are working on the same and will soon provide an update that will contain additional information. Mostly, the problem of white screen stands fixed and players now need to restart their game in order for the fix to do its magic!
