Epic Games just made a major hiccup. However, we are not complaining as it gave hundreds of Fornite players the one-of-a-lifetime opportunity! To play the rarest items of all time before they realized the major gaffe and took it back.
On 11 November, players found out that they surprisingly owned the Axe of Champions. It is one the rarest items available in Fortnite; only for it to be snatched away after a few seemingly short minutes.
Confirming this hiccup, Fortnite Competitive via Twitter released an official response which said:
“Oops, We’ll be revoking the Axe of Champions from all Grand Royale qualified players and granting it back to just the FNCS seasonal winners from this year until Grand Royale has finished.”
Axe of Champions Mishap
- The Axe of Champions forms one of the “ultra-rare cosmetic item”. It was released last year as a part of the rewards for the designated champions in the Fortnite Champion Series.
- In this happening series, most of the top high-stakes players battled against each other. The axe was a reward for seven trios, this meant that a total of twenty-one players have rewarded this axe.
This has been completed. All FNCS winners from this year will now retain the Axe of Champions until the conclusion of the FNCS Grand Royale.

The recent goof-up led every player who participated in the year’s champion series to receive the Axe of Champions. However, this blunder was rectified immediately and it was revoked from all the players minutes later.
We are pretty unsure and confused as to how and why this mistake happened, but it has been rectified. The Axe of Champions becomes even more as there are only twenty-one of them in existence at any point in time.
- The Axe of Champions is basically passed over from the previous FNCS winners to the current one at the Grand Royale culmination.
- The Grand Royale will start this week and the Middle East Grand Royale Qualifiers are on 20th and 21st November.
