If players take a look at their maps after the update, there are red and blue lines running across the maps. This comes after the Imagined Order makes a move on invading the Island, but the Resistance is doing everything they can to fight back against Dr. Slone and her army.

The red lines represent the areas which the IO (Imagined Order) captured. On the other hand, the blue lines represent the areas which the Resistance has successfully defended against the IO.

There are also tanks scattered across the map that inflict a heavy amount of damage once they fire at players. For players to defeat these tanks, there are new weapons included this season that serve as anti-vehicle weapons. We’ll talk more about that further into the article.

War Effort donations are coming back this season

In Chapter 2 Season 8, Fortnite introduced a system called War Effort donations when the Resistance fought against the Cube Legion. What this means is players can donate and fund projects that will aid the Resistance in their fight against the IO. By donating to the War Effort, the Resistance builds weapons like light and heavy turrets, and provide armor to vehicles like a battle bus.

Some leaks surrounding Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 claim that players can use these War Effort donations. Aside from being able to equip regular in-game vehicles with turrets, it’s possible that players can add armor to their vehicles too.
